Weekday nights using 5G U Mobile is very slow in my area. Bandar Sri Damansara! Hardly can surf/play video!

If switch back to 4G, working fine

5G congestion is real.

I've just terminated uhome wireless 5g after a month using it.. almost no coverage in putrajaya & KL.. very bad service.. wasting my money

If your area no 5g coverage then nothing you can do. 5G is the same as it uses DNB infra. Find a telco with good 4g in the area you live

Where is the congestion?

If the complain is only at various spots such as Sri Damansara, then it appears to be a base station local issue ?

Also, in the new T&C, ... b. You can use U Postpaid 38, 68 and 98 plans via various devices which include but not limited to smartphones or tablets (or dashcams, CCTV cameras, Android Auto, etc), except for routers, MiFi and USB dongle.
.
.
U68 upgrade from 300GB to 500GB per month = U68 tak laku.

U38 no upgrade, still at 120GB = U38 ada laku.

.
Video-streaming, eg Youtube videos, at 720p consumes 0.9GB of data per hour. If video-stream 4 hours daily = 3.6GB daily = 108GB monthly.
....... So U38 is more than enough for most smartphone and (4G LTE) tablet users.

OTOH, if you hotspot to a large 40" TV that requires 1080p for video-streaming = 1 hour consumes 1.5GB. 4hours daily = 6GB daily = 180GB monthly = you need U68.

If you hotspot to a 55" or larger TV which requires 4k or 2160p for video-streaming = 1 hour consumes 7.2GB. 4 hours daily = 28.8GB daily = 864GB monthly = you need U98.

Note that 720p requires 3Mbps; 1080p requires 5Mbps and 4k/2160p requires 20Mbps.
....... And during peak traffic hours between 8pm to 1am, esp on weekends (= 4G/5G network congestion), nearly every U will get only 1Mbps to 3Mbps. This is me speaking from experience - GX55.
.

Depends on location. If urban areas, peak traffic hours = most U users will get only 1Mbps to 3Mbps.

What is your location.?

Most of U Mobile's 4G frequencies and all of DNB's 5G NSA mid-band frequencies have poor penetration capability, ie cannot pass through hills = a large quadrant in your cell tower's location that is beyond the hill do not get any 4G/5G radio signals.
....... So, your location in Ipoh, even though urban, is not experiencing severe 4G/5G network congestion during peak traffic hours.

Most urban areas with flat terrain in the Klang Valley are experiencing severe 4G/5G network congestion during peak traffic hours because the celcos oversell their phone plans. Similarly for TM Unifi Home Fibre plans, ie oversold by adding ports.

I also am not subscribed to any plans right now and got the same message. I check the app 10GB RM6 24hrs is called "Ultra Speed" right now, so they are renaming it to "High Speed"? I'm also confused how this will impact me.

Might even consider the U 65 but it's kinda overkill. Wish there is 40/50 pricepoint
