No easing of tension in McLaren camp
Alonso reiterates 'cooling' claims from Indy
28/06/07

QUOTE
Signs of continuing tension between defending champion Fernando Alonso and his young tyro team-mate Lewis Hamilton and the McLaren team were clear to see again here on Thursday.

Alonso was evasive and looked sad during a pre-race news conference in advance of Sunday's French Grand Prix. He frequently referred to his team-mate as Hamilton, rather than Lewis, and he also said he was unable to explain why a McLaren team member said he was frustrated during the United States Grand Prix.

He said also that he had no idea why team chief Ron Dennis had said that he had moved to bar his drivers from talking about each other at certain news briefings and meetings.

I guess he wants that 3rd consecutive WDC very badly.

It's a long article.

That's the problem with u Ferrari fans. You guys are more interested in what Alonso has to say than what both your drivers are up to. Sad i must say especially someone here who keeps posting any sort of news regarding Alonso, probably in an attempt to divert attention away from his underperforming favourite driver rolleyes.gif.

I've just read that conference article and i still don't see anything he said that suggested there was big tension; if anything it just showed that he's still a winner at heart which is something i like in drivers.

Well there are other important news that you can post. One of those concerning Kimi that YOU DID NOT POST while you should have showed that you rather want ppl to think bad about another driver when your favourite driver is underperforming and underpressure from Ferrari and is in a bad relationship with the team at the moment that nothing other than winning the WDC this season can keep him at the team for next season which means he might be releagated to Toyota in place of Ralph as that is the only other team that can afford his payroll at the moment

anyways, First Practice time,

Prac One: Ferrari outpace McLaren
Friday 29th June 2007

QUOTE
Ferrari's French GP weekend got off to a good start on Friday morning with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa setting the fastest lap times.

Raikkonen won the closely fought battle between the Scuderia's drivers, clocking a 1:15.382, which put him 0.065s ahead of Massa.

McLaren had to settle for second best for the first time in a while as Fernando Alonso's fastest lap time, a 1:16.154 was almost three quarters of a second off the pace.

Nico Rosberg and David Coulthard both improved in the final ten minutes of the session to get ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who did not have a great start to his weekend.

26 minutes in the session, and having yet to set a lap time, the McLaren rookie broke down on track. It took over 20 minutes for the team to get his car back to the pits, where they worked furiously to solve the problem.

Hamilton eventually made his way back out on track with 30 minutes left to play and worked his way up to fourth place.

The Championship leader, though, wasn't the only driver to suffer problems in Practice One.

Heikki Kovalainen had to have dry ice thrown over the back of his car as smoke poured out of the brake ducts of his Renault, while Jarno Trulli's Toyota came to a halt halfway down the pit-lane as the session was ending.

There were also off-track excursions for many of the drivers, including Alonso, Jenson Button and Takuma Sato.

Meanwhile Robert Kubica drove his BMW for the first time since his horrific accident at the Canadian GP. The Polish driver posted the ninth best time, 1.059s off Raikkonen's pace.

u guys are really pathetic! No one can deny the facts no matter how well you argue.....

The Fact:
Lewis Hamilton is performing beyond expectation, and could possibly be heading for his 1st WDC in his rookie year.

Apelonso is under pressure as the rookie team mate is out-performing him in recent races and consistently scoring points. Not to forget all the fame he is getting.

Kimi Raikkonen is struggling to cope up and perform well in his F2007 as expected and could possibly unable to fight for the WDC at this stage of the race if he failed to gear up soon.

Filipe Massa is doing all fine at Ferrari although he is not drawing much attention regarding the WDC, and i dont think he would.

Prac Two: Ferrari tussle continues
Friday 29th June 2007

QUOTE
The battle of the two Ferraris continued in Friday's second practice session for the French GP, although this time it was Felipe Massa who had the upper hand.

The Brazilian posted a 1:15.453, edging Kimi Raikkonen out of the top spot by a mere 0.035s.

However, the shock of the session came courtesy of the Toro Rossos with Scott Speed and Tonio Liuzzi both finishing in the top five.

They were separated by Lewis Hamilton on the timesheets.

David Coulthard was sixth for Red Bull Racing, with Fernando Alonso a lowly eighth and half a second down.

The 25-year-old did not have a happy afternoon as he ran off the circuit on three separate occasions.

But then he was not alone as Massa and Raikkonen also departed the track, the latter spinning through the gravel in the dying stages.

Anthony Davidson was ninth in his Super Aguri, which required a new nose cone in the opening minute.

Davidson pulled out of his garage, only to clip the left-rear tyre of Liuzzi's Toro Rosso in the pit lane within seconds, which led to mechanics quickly dragging the Briton back in.

Further down the field, Jenson Button was 15th for Honda, who had promised improvements for this race, but with little in evidence.

Robert Kubica was back in his BMW for the first time since suffering a horror smash in the Canadian GP three weeks ago, albeit emerging with nothing more than light concussion.

The Pole appeared to be no showing no ill effects after being cleared on Thursday by medics to race again.
