yea, for once after a looong time, i smile with my teeth!! hahah, even with braces on, it gives me the confident.
after i started my braces journey, a lot of my friends told me they needed braces too, but never really go through it. and it is true, not many people has the perfect teeth, they just decided not to fix it. i mean, i wouldn't too if it's not because of the wedding. it really push me forward to taking action. i mean, all the bride i see has got that SMILE of a lifetime.
my colleague was telling me the same too, he likes girls in braces coz they are cute n lovable. :-)
Congratulations for ur wedding!!!
I believe most of us here smile widely with braces on. There's nothing wrong with having braces on. And I'm sure u have made an important and correct decision to put on braces. You really need the smile of a lifetime, as a bride
In fact, during my consultation, I told Dr. How that my wedding date will depend on the progress of my braces treatment. I hasn't fix any date/plan yet la...

Dr How promised that he'll give me a beautiful smile for the wedding, but dare not promised that the gap from the tooth extractions will be fully close, but he said - no one can see it other than him, coz only he will look at my mouth that closely. haha
You mean Dr. How will de-brace for you before your wedding even though the gaps are not fully closed yet? Do you need to put on the braces again after your wedding, to close the gaps?

I completely agree with you! From the photos that Nikki posted before, she's definitely a pretty gal with perfect smile! Shouldn't have problem in finding the mr. right

Merely stating truth :-)
I have my bite stop installed and it's has been driving me nuts. I heard so much abt it from the forum and finally experiencing it myself is a different thing! cant wait to get it removed in 2 weeks time. Been losing weight and appetite :-(
Bite-stopper is indeed annoying, but you'll slowly find your own way to chew around 1 week having them on. I'm still having 1 bite-stopper on, since 9 months ago. If not mistaken, Nikki is still having bite-stopper also. Anyway, I can chew alright. In fact, I put on 3kg after having braces... What a disappointment, I thought I can lose weight by putting on braces...

Soon ok? But must not eat anything chewy. For burger, u may start with filet o fish first cos its soft.
I tell u, subway is so susah. Everytime i eat, i eat the vegie, filling and bread separately. So embarrassing.
I normally break burger/pizza/sandwich into small pieces, then only send to my side/back teeth to chew. My friends said the way I eat looks disgusting. Sigh... what to do?

life time? woot? no wonder my teeth stil move even though i already wear it for 1 yr...
Since you have experience wearing retainer for 1 yr. Can you share with us here? I heard that having retainer on, is more annoying and inconvenient than having braces on. How true is that?

hahaha.....d word sun bian is quite funno tho....

In my case, the main reason I do braces is to fix my protruding gigi tarings. Since Dr. How said I have overbite, then sun bian fix it also lo. After all it's the same process, might as well make it perfect.
If you haven't decided whether to do it now or later, maybe you can consider doing what I did. I actually consulted 2 dentists and 1 orthodontist before seeing Dr. How. They provide free consultation. However, none of them manage to give me sufficient confident to proceed with the suggested treatment. After that, I went to see Dr. How, who charges RM50 for consultation. I insisted not to take X-ray first because it's quite costly. I just wanted to ask Dr. How to visually check my teeth and roughly explain to me on the type of treatment required. I believe with his experience and knowledge in orthodontist, he's able to give quite accurate suggestion by just looking at your teeth, unless your case is very complicated. If you can decide on the spot, to proceed with the treatment, the RM50 will be waived. Then, you'll still need to take x-ray once you have decided to do it, it's the formal procedure required by MAO. If you cannot decide on the spot, you can go home first and think about it. You only lose RM50.
