When I was in PSD late 2000s had the opportunity to work in kazakh for 1.5 mo and another 2 week onboard LNG vessel setup the onsite it equipment.

All of that was when Accenture never step foot. Now I hear everything going south

I work with Petronas ICT, cannot mention which det and team. My project manager always on medical leave (old dy). Not so many projects approved and there are many people goyang kaki there get free lunch. My project manager also not so many years experience bt can become leader probably is because cable. nothing much to learn actually, if you work at here more than one years, sure you will not easy to get job outside as the job is very specific. you learn only your area tasks.
*
Guess you work in the wrong team?

I get the opportunities to work in multiple roles - functional, technical, solution architect and now project manager. Be open to new opportunities and not limiting oneself to current role or technology.

Can you provide more information about the OpenText department? Is this also one of the specific scope fields that will not let you easily find job outside of petict?

Aren't the contract workers more afraid?
Permanent doesn't give any sense of security?
Btw, permanent staff share similar benefits and bonus as Petronas itself?

You will join OpenText team it is? PET-ICT now undergoing major re-org and know as PETRONAS Group Digital. Rebranding and most of people are not sure yet they will park under which new pillar.

Most probably your job scope will be related to manage record management in OpenText.

Now, every new joiners are not permanent, and it is contract position called as Direct Hire. Your benefits will be same like Permanent staff - if i not mistaken, however bonus will be upon Management Discretion. You will be contract for 2 years before convert to permanent. Again, upon management approval and budget allocation.

Salary in GLC especially in PET-ICT is lower compare to Global MNC IT, since PET-ICT provide other benefits and above average bonus. So, can't really said that senior exec can get above 10k, it is depends on what is your position, job scope, and etc.

What are some of the perks of being with Pet Ict?

And now after becoming Petronas Group Digital, what has changed?

I can say it is same. Not much different. The difference might be bonus. PET-ICT bonus is not same with PETRONAS , only last year (when PET-ICT being part of Group Digital) is the first time in history it is same, however this year and moving forward, it is not sure. This is something can be change along the way.

Only the way of working has changed, previously PET-ICT is a IT "slave" for PETRONAS, hence every service request and if business can pay, need to deliver by PET-ICT.

Being Part of Group Digital, it is about planning and implementation for PETRONAS as whole. Resources are allocated for more high priority projects and initiatives, and Chief Digital Office now controls all the IT projects execution. They can said Go or No-Go which they monitor it closely.

Now what I can say everyone is still waiting for final org chart.

I wonder due to there is no final org chart, hence the slow process of hiring.

Anyone here went for interviews recently for Cyber Risk and Security role? Wondering i heard from headhunter, some waited after 3 months only got offered after their interview. sweat.gif

For me yes..

I think i went there plus-minus 2 weeks ago. But no news thus far.

I even heard it may take months until they come back.

I wonder if anyone here that recently joined Petronas Group Digital can share their experience. How long usually will they take to revert back?
