Hi guys, any idea hows petict working environment now days?management good? Worklife balance? High workload? Everyday go back late .etc? Is it a recommended working place? I got a contract position with basic benefits compared to my current company permanent position. The only petict pros are salary increment and career growth. Not sure is it worth to jump unless working environment is good
*
Working life balance depends on team or department bro. But most of the team busy and workloads are quite high. You better work with PET ICT vendors is you want to get better exposure since you are contract. Contract staff quite difficult to convert to permanent.

Increment so-so only, but bonus average 1.5-2 months.

I heard they are quite busy. Most of team members are contractors. Internal staffs normally assigned with multiple projects and required to coordinate with business and also vendors. Usually you are required to attend meeting with business , get requirements, prepare sp, and etc.

Yes agreed. Business users are not very keen for skype meeting and they prefer face to face meeting.

Most of them will be renew if they still required. Contract can be extend or renew based on the hiring manager.

Heard about anybody booted off before Contract mature?

And also, as some said since if a person is on Contract does this mean his KPI is evaluated less vigorously?

And a contract staff will not have bonuses and increment?

I work with Petronas ICT, cannot mention which det and team. My project manager always on medical leave (old dy). Not so many projects approved and there are many people goyang kaki there get free lunch. My project manager also not so many years experience bt can become leader probably is because cable. nothing much to learn actually, if you work at here more than one years, sure you will not easy to get job outside as the job is very specific. you learn only your area tasks.
