I'm curious... Now TM webbie only listing 2 unifi plans - the 30mbps and 100mbps...

What if a NEW subscriber wants to subscribe to something faster than 100mbps... what then...?

Yeah, overkill for me, it's true

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 15 2018, 02:58 PM)
C1200 can achieve so high? The router given by TM right? I have it back at home in one of the cupboards. I recalled it didn't fare better than my Huawei WS880 when upgraded to 100Mbps.
*
Yeah, surprisingly my C1200 works well, via cable though. Wireless still suck!

QUOTE(solarmystic @ Sep 15 2018, 02:58 PM)
Can you get that sort of speed from far away servers though?

I mean supremely fast local bandwidth is all well and good but does it apply to US/EU/South American servers too?

*
Fastest external server was Tokyo:

dload 75.8MB/s,
upload 26.4MB/s

I am planning to pull a cable from my router to my room from ground floor to first floor of my house.
As shown below, i will stick the lan cable with Unifi cable and tv antenna cable together and following the same path to the space between roof and ceiling, and then go down to my room.
May i know can i use any cat6 utp cable that is long enough? or should I use shielded cable? If i run these cable together will they interfere with each other?

Cat 6 cable is already shielded. Unifi cable is fibre optics. Don't worry, they won't interfere with each other.
I just wonder if you can accurately estimate your cat6 cable length? Is there no other more direct path to your room from the router?

If they want to get as many new users as possible, that's the least they can do, offered as many plans as possible so people can choose, rather than wait and see will the turbo magically appear... I'm still waiting to see if someone managed to downgrade their package from 800mbps / 500mbps to 300mbps...

BMC, still waiting for Turbo upgrade currently on 100mbps. I'm in dilemma whether continue wait or switch to new RM 129 plan.

I saw many cat6 on lazada but isn't many are unshielded, which is utp???
i will buy 30m, should be "more than enough", i think this is the best path. Because there are other rooms at the left and right of my room and there are few corner before the cable can reach my room. If i put the cable above the door frame, my family sure will complain, and it will be ugly if go this way.

If you are staying on landed property you should get 100Mbps. However if you are staying in apartment, you may not get the full download speed. It depends on the connection from the building riser to your properly.

As explained by maxis' contractor.

Great news for vdsl! Best effort on maxis!
