Most workshops should be able to do it. Rather the question is have you already found the rear disc brake set for the conversion?
noted, is there any workshop that include the disc brake set?-+♠+-LYN Proton Persona IAFM Owners Club V55-+♠+-, The besi buruk counting it's days.

Any recommendation for rear suspension parts brand? I'm looking at Shopee here, a 'Mitsubishi' brand parts costs about half the price of other local aftermarket brands such as Saiko and Schmaco, while supposed original Proton is the most expensive. Planning to do total restoration of the rear suspension.
I'm leaning towards the cheap 'Mitsubishi' brand here. I don't look for performance part or anything, just want an okay part that can last for at most 5 years. Or will buying cheap shopee parts will cause more headache in the future? |

Quite good and long lasting compared to original quality. You can search for their official shop online. All of their parts in orange colour.I'm leaning towards the cheap 'Mitsubishi' brand here. I'm a bit skeptical about Muteki, can't shake the feeling that it's the same as other local aftermarket part, but painted orange and priced higher.Or maybe I don't really need rear suspension restoration. All the rubber bushings looks intact except the rear stabilizer link which has been reduced to a drying rot on a stick. I don't have any camber angle or rear tire issue, it's just a bit of creaking coming from the trailing arm bushing. |

Well i don't really have other experience with parts of other brands. This is the first set i change. But its decent enough.Or maybe I don't really need rear suspension restoration. I don't have any camber angle or rear tire issue, it's just a bit of creaking coming from the trailing arm bushing. Just to note that if the creaking happened when you getting onto or off the car, mostly it's the suspension link that is gone. Something notable of the bushing of stabilize link, ask your foreman don't screw it to total tightness, otherwise your new bushing will crack the moment your car lowered from jack. The correct way is to screw it until the bush cap flush with screw of your link. |

Anyone have experience with Persona auto jerking when coming to a stop? Doesn't feel like it's engine problem, no RPM spike. Noticed my car is having a rough downshift right before stopping under 5km/h from 2nd gear to 1st. Problem become worse after ECU reset. After driving for awhile, it becomes okay, but the jerking still persists.

Happened to mine some time ago when one of the hoses leaked. |

No puddles or red atf stains on the ground under your car where you park? Sorry but I can’t make the connection between ATF & radiator replacement. When was the last time you serviced your gearbox? |

Seems like the level is around cold level after driving the car for 10 minutes. Probably faulty dipstick reading yesterday ago(?).Sorry but I can’t make the connection between ATF & radiator replacement. When was the last time you serviced your gearbox? Says here last ATF change 11/2019. Still have 10,000km to use since car didn't move in 2020. Crawled under car, everything is dry, nothing dripping. A bit of oily mark around the side, probably uncleaned old spill or old engine oil (had a major valve cover gasket leak for years, so I'm not surprised if the oil reached there). ATF fluid looks okay and smells fine. Transmission cooler line is connected to the radiator. I'm guessing when I had the radiator replaced, some amount of ATF spilled. But... the radiator was replaced a month before last ATF replacement. Anyhow, any shopee seller to recommend to get Proton SP3 fluid? Sellers that sell Proton ATF SP3 for RM15 is original one? |

I think i might looked at the service reminder sticker wrongly. 11/2019 wasn't the laqst service date. It was the time for next service. but the fluid still nowhere near 20,000km mileage because the car spends most of its time parked. So I think the ATF fluid might be some 3+ years old. Manual says to change every 2 to 2.5 years. This post has been edited by Steponlego: Jan 23 2021, 03:47 PM |

The purpose of changing oil is more than just flushing out old or contaminated oil; you’re also flushing out all the dirt and debris from your transmission. Speaking of which, ATF filter is another component often overlooked by car owners when it comes to car maintenance.I think i might looked at the service reminder sticker wrongly. 11/2019 wasn't the laqst service date. Speaking of which, ATF filter is another component often overlooked by car owners when it comes to car maintenance. My bad. Time flies. Only today I remember changing the ATF back when my friend still selling milo ais kepal, asked him and he said that was back in 2017. Old, oxidised or contaminated ATF may cause extra friction and increase wear in the transmission. Also I learned today that RM15 Proton ATF SP3 is not original. Only noticed after I top up half of a bottle - the product description at the back got horrible typos and the texts are all over the place. Probably won't cause anything major but I'll drain the transmission once I get a good original ATF. Mizu brand ATF SP3 any good? This seems to be the cheapest. Other brand that in my cart includes Mitsubishi SP3 and Aisin AFW+, both are a bit cheaper than buying 4 liters of proton brand. |

If you are considering Mitsubishi ATF, then I can vouch for this guy above. After the warranty for my car expired, I don’t send my car back to proton for servicing anymore. Every now and then I’ll drop by this guy’s shop at Jalan Kuching to buy my engine and ATF oil. The oil they sell is genuine and the price is really good too. I still have his phone number if you need it. Otherwise you can just purchase from his shop on Lazada. Do look for ATF filter to replace as well; 4 years never service the filter has to go.
