Hi guys, did bigPay have charges on oversea transaction?
I did swipe one transaction in China on November 1 , which is RMB 800 ( MYR 479.65) , and the initial currency rate was RM 59.95 per RMB 100.
And I have constantly checked the currency on November 2 and 3, the currency rate is at Myr 60.4 per RMB 100.
However today ( November 3) , the transaction final settle is MYR 495.53. Which equivalent to MYR61.94 per RMB 100, that’s a huge difference in currency.
Anyone has any idea on this?

Yea, i have dropped them an email as well as gave them a call.
Also provided few screenshot of my transaction details.
1. Yesterday pending rate = 3.015 (5th of November)
2. Today Settle rate = 3.035 (6th of November)
3. Yesterday Master Card Rate = 3.012 (5th of November)
4. Today Rate = 3.022 (6th of November)
I realized that 2 days back the Master Card rate was 3.035 as well, perhaps they follow the wrong date Master Card rate.

Also, just to be clear on the 2% charge and so on: BigPay does NOT charge anything to its users on top of the exchange rate. That's always been one of our main features, and it's still the same. Whether the merchant / vendor / payment terminal charges you with anything else is up to that 3rd party. Just make sure you read carefully their T&Cs! If it's not mentioned anywhere, you should definitely follow up with them.
But, if merchant charge extra, it will show as the amount charge in foreign currency instead of quietly add in to the settled rate.. Eg. For taobao, they add 3% of ur purchase amount, eg. My purchase amount is CNY100, taobao charge 3% for credit card payment, in my BigPay, the amount for my transaction will be CNY103, and settlement will be based on CNY103 with MasterCard rate converted in MYR. Now, the problem is the rate shown in BigPay doesn’t follow MasterCard rate with 0% bank fee..Bigpayjonathan maybe u can look into the case as shared by enoxcv123 and Lifeblurboi quoted above..
