Perhaps I'm reading things differently here, but Jonathan's example did not state "reloading using another person's CC = suspicious". Q4 of post 1 suggests that BP does not impose such a limitation (and this makes sense, for the reasons below).

There are many legitimate reasons why you would use another person's CC or bank account to reload a prepaid card. High income earners loading for dependents (children, housewives, retired parents) so that these people can enjoy the benefit and convenience of a card, when they may not be able to apply for their own CC. With family relationships, it is quite normal for people to pay on behalf and settle separately (or FOC).

Again, people using the card "normally" and with plausible explanations for transactions should have nothing to fear.
*
Exactly, that is my cc my money, I want reload to whom is my freedom, and big pay never said that is wrong

Ha..there are....but the numbers could be minimal to be seen in the PPL if bank raise their standard to those who really meet qualification. Put an income barrier for those earning 300k n u will see the reduction or elimination of the abusers.....but at the same time, reduce their own custimer base.

I have over 20 entries of ppl per year from Maybank card, but barely use any nowadays, crowded, mediocre food

Just now tried wave at Jaya Grocer Maybank terminal for my first new card transaction  but the error message said "failed"

Then used pin for the payment.

Wan to ask: for the first time usage, payment by wave won't be accepted?
*
U should be able to use wave at second transaction

It's not that I don't see Boost as a competitor, but we do very different things and have very different strategies - at least for now. We want to provide the widest array of fair financial services to everyone, and Boost's strategy so far has been to provide merchant discounts. I tried using their app and honestly... I had a hard time figuring out its daily use. But I "might" be biased tongue.gif
Yeah, saw that this morning. It's interesting to see. Tells me that we've picked the right business model from the start, and that competitors are starting to realise it. Healthy competition is always good! There's not much information that's filtered on Grab's physical card yet - just curious to see if it'll remain tied to their eco-system.

no worries, offer Amex top up, then big pay will still be king

never mention you can top up using CC.

---

Grab will issue virtual and physical prepaid cards through its app. Customers can top up their cards using cash through agents, drivers and merchants on the GrabPay platform, and will be able to use them at online and offline merchants that accept Mastercard.

if you studied many cases around the world, the first mover normally failed big time.
facebook, google all those are not first mover and they are going strong.

I don't like uncertain answer. what did you mean points will eventually add up? We are suppose to keep tracking daily? Eventually means a week, a month, a year or might be longer until we forgot. I had feedback to your cs 3 days ago and the missing points have been credit, but i don't like to keep complaint each time to beg for points. I hope you can understand.
*
they will really eventually add up, sometimes few days, up to few weeks maybe, even Maybank have this problem sometime
