• Do not race the engine. --- cant drive up to 100km/h?

• Avoid full-throttle starts. --- what does it means?

Yes, can drive up to 100km/h.. I myself kept mine limited at 120km/h max.. Keynote is that you vary the speeds as you drive and not just drive at say 100km/h for minutes on end.. Drop down, go up, switch lanes.. gas the engine a bit.. Basically, put it through its paces without pushing too hard or too weak.

You've seen 0-100km/h timed drives.. Don't do that. Remember. it's still a new engine and it's internals are still getting to know each other and will be awhile before its a smooth operation. In the meantime, if you over-stress the engine and are unlucky to have some metal bits (which are normal to break off) end up forcefully in the wrong places? You risk ruining your engine permanently.

Eh guys, where do official Mazda does their power boot? Just went to a Lexus showroom and it seems cool to have a power boot XD

Kinda itchy to get it install. I don't need the leg sweep. 2k and 5 years warranty is good enough for me.

Current cx5 owners already doing the power boot externally. There are shops that import the power boot set from overseas(cx5 overseas comes with power boot long time already, shops just install the things that factory didn’t install for you).

Afaik, the set include the leg swap, you can just don’t use the leg swap but it will be there, wouldn’t be any cheaper without if it install leg swap less. I may be wrong as I install it quite long time ago on the cx5 and there may be new different parts d.

Yea I know. But I am not looking for those third party. I remembered that I saw somebody mentioned here or maybe Facebook group that there's a shop doing power boot officially for Mazda (or Mazda outsourcing it to them) which comes without leg sweep and it comes with 5 years warranty.

The third party is the one with leg sweep, 2 years warranty and around 3k.

When I sent my car for 20k servicing at Glenmarie, I asked the SA if those without power boot can be retrofitted with factory-installed power boot.
They said can only recommend authorized installers but the warranty will be 2 years, unlike 5 years for favtory-installed and using existing 2-button key fob, i.e. no option to change to the new 3-button key fob.

Did not ask further as I’m more interested with the 3-button key fob if installed at authorised workshop

No you can't.. Which is why Waze's option to play over phone speakers is a great option... Cuz it allows us to listen to the radio like normal, have phone connected via Bluetooth for calls and Waze sounds aren't muted due to the phone audio being connected to the car.. As it's waiting for calls. I use mine like this. Though mostly, Waze is kept silent. Waifu says can't stand the ladies voice and I can't stand another man telling me where to go.. Hahaha.. So it's either listening to radio or audio podcasts.. laugh.gif

Can... Speaking on the diesel variant.. Suspect it's the same for the petrol as well.. There should be some leftover "reserve" fuel in the tank even aafter the range becomes zero. I know cuz one time i pumped with just 15km left on the range meter.. Yet, only managed to get in about 49L (second pump click).. With a 56L tank, means left at least 7L left. More than enough to make an additional 80 - 105km. But I don't risk it as it's a diesel engine. Don't want it to empty while on the road and stop by itself..

All cars are designed such that there will be 7-9L left in the tank when the petrol light is on.

Speaking of the i-stop feature, my will engage when I press the break hard enough. Usually it will engage in red lights and junctions stops and so on which is fine. However, when I release the break a little then the engine starts again. Which is only like 10 secs. I wondering does this actually save fuel or not.

Also, I tried pressing the break hard but the damn engine still starts by itself after like 10-15 secs. Also tried engaging the "handbrake". Engine still starts after some time.

Is that how i-stop works?
