my SA finally called me to come and sign some 'Agreement form' tomorrow morning at the showroom. It has been a long wait since 3rd week of May when I put down my booking - 2.0GLS DCB

Target delivery in early August

Congrats!
What is that agreement form purpose?

dunno lorr, not familiar with car purchases - this will be my 1st one. I guess to finalize the OTR price with insurance and discounts (if any), hence to finalize the total DP payable to the dealership

The 2.2D variant has better instrument cluster display. I wonder if we can change it.

oh how i wish we have the option to upgrade that, but it is just close to super very unlikely

can only hope for the mid-life cycle update/facelift that Bermaz will stuff that across all models, which means need to wait longer lah

Yo guys,

My SA told me that Mazda HQ has allocated 15 units of CX-5 to the dealership for this month, but the customer names are somewhat not finalized yet.

Is this normal? Shouldn't the dealership decide the names n who gets first? Currently he is waiting for an email from HQ on the name list.

Yo peeps, just collected my car yesterday.

Upon inspection, as I was opening the boot and leaning for stuffs inside, my knees were pressed hard against the bumper and I was surprised on how easily it caved in.

So soft meh the bumper?

Other than that, it's a really solid car. no ragrets whatsoever.

The rotating knobs and the small volume knob is really a godsend. So glad I didn't opt for a Honda

Day 4 quirks

- Discovered the driver's window is kinda 'loose' and makes a sound as if something's not tight enough every time I roll down the window

- GPS is a hell to use when using the rotating knob. Keying in the destination is best done when stationary, when the touch screen is activated

- Speakers continue to be good at best. Wish we get that Bose speakers here

- Engine noise is loud during startup. Not a surprise as we already discovered this the day we went to book 3 months ago

- still getting used to the sheer size of this vehicle, which is posing some challenges when performing side parking and going through that one tight corner at the office basement parking

hey guys,

heading north this weekend, so mileage could end up well beyond 1000km when we return to KL. Is this okay for the 1000km service check?

how about the fuel consumption??
*
about 10-13km/l on weekday rush hour traffic, and 15-18km/l on long journeys (hours of drive on the highway).

saw a post in CX-5 FB group of 2.0L owners posting their mileages - someone even got 19km/l, most probbly drove 90km/h on auto cruise lol.

Should be able to get even more that 100km since the petrol signal lit up. i filled up when the needle is on the final marking and never get to fill up more than 51litres. the tank capacity is 56litres right?
*
yup 56 litres.

i think the low-fuel light pops up when there's like 10-12 litres of gas left, which is about 20% of full capacity. The other day I can only refuel ard 44 litres when the light popped up

Ninja shades even expensive right?

I thought Ninja > Groovy in price..

BTW, i just tint my car...put another layer onto the side and back windows, but tear down the front tint completely. with 5 years warranty somemore.

Now it is cooler than before..

I bought my 7-pcs Ninja magnetic sunshades for RM230 from a shop at Alam Damai. For the product, the price is quite reasonable really.

Just completed modifications for my 2nd Gen 2.0 GLS.

Now equipped with,
SCBS-F/R, LDWS/LAS, DAA, HBC/AFS, Cruise Control/ Adjustable Speed Limiter, Built-in Compass.

Finally, a full 2.2D iactivesense experience. Except for the D experience.

Edit: lets assume AFS + HBC = ALH to comfort my wallet a little bit.
*
wow, where did you get these done? how much is the total damage?

Is that a paddle shifter I'm seeing???

This is the best mod on a 2.0L GLS so far - i wouldn't mind spending a few thousands on these lol

Just need AA/CP and its a complete car for me

From forbidden website:

Mazda Australia has previously confirmed that it would be offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for models sold in the country, and that existing customers can opt for a retrofit for the MZD Connect system.

Now, CarAdvice reports that the cost of the retrofit will be AUD494.98 (RM1,461.23), according to a leaked dealer bulletin obtained by the publication.

The source also detailed the costs of each component should customers want to purchase them separately, including the hub module (AUD202.28 or RM597.15) and cable harness (AUD101.12 or RM298.52)
