Just completed modifications for my 2nd Gen 2.0 GLS.

Now equipped with,
SCBS-F/R, LDWS/LAS, DAA, HBC/AFS, Cruise Control/ Adjustable Speed Limiter, Built-in Compass.

Finally, a full 2.2D iactivesense experience. Except for the D experience.

Edit: lets assume AFS + HBC = ALH to comfort my wallet a little bit.
*
Nicely done.. notworthy.gif If I may ask. How did you get the colored screen? Also how were HBC and Built-in compass enabled? Software tweak? I'm going to assume with all this mods, you don't care much for warranty huh.. smile.gif

Oh forgot to ask...do you guys Break-in the car before 1000km service? Usually I do that with new car and keep the RPM below 2000 until first service done.
*
I did for mine.. More for "I don dun it' sake.. unsure if required on such an engine.. So far so good.

Took delivery of my car 2 days back. Disappointed to have 2 different rattling sound issues, 1 at the big plastic piece behind the rear view mirror (it's loose) and another somewhere inside the dashboard which cannot really be pinpointed.

Sigh
*
Damn, a fair number of brand new cars with rattling noises.. Tax window made QC slack off? hmm.gif I suggest you try to tahan till first service, then have em rectified.

Yah, will have to ask them to check during 1k service. Sad

Another thing is when my phone is connected eg waze, the navigation instructions / sound doesn't go thru the speaker (Spotify works no issue) but rather still thru my phone speakers. Anyone know how to fix this?

But I do not regret not taking the power boot. Its so easy to operate manually lol. Thanks sifus for advice

In addition to Duckies' response. Check Waze app on phone's settings.. Under "Voice & Sound" settings.. Untick the option "Play sound to phone speaker". This will force Waze sounds to go through whichever medium is currently connected. In your case, Bluetooth.

Yah.. Glad you find it easy to operate manually. if included for free, sure...I'll be the first to line up to get it.. else.. meh!

Yep, that's why I asked how some are done.. If software, then easier to revert back before sending off for servicing.. So do you mind sharing how it's done?

I totally overlooked the engine break-in discussion here. So when I took delivery of my car, I straight went up to Genting as per my SA recommendation as to try and check for any problems. So definitely the engine revved way over 2000 rpm.

Now I have read, what would be the implications due to above? Should I stress about this to the service centre during the first service?

Thanks all in advance for the advise

I think modern cars are already run in at the factory before delivery. Still no harm in taking it easy before first service as noted by all here. Waiting for my new Cx-5 still...:-)

Guys wanna ask,

If we pay the deposit including the premium color..

then if the SA offer the non-premium color, we can get back the extra 2,000 we pay right?

As hoffmeister says, don't sweat it.. Just take it easy from now on till after first service. As long as no weird engine sounds.

Yes, you should. Tell your SA to put the refund request in and show black and white. If he/she doesn't, better don't let them register the non-premium color car in your name yet.. Stress this very well. They'll refund.

Just like girl, rough or gentle. Don’t shoot me.

End of the day if there is something weird, just bring back to SC. Under warranty.

No special break-in is necessary, but a few precautions in the first 1,000 km (600 miles) may add to the performance, economy, and life of your Mazda.

• Do not race the engine.

• Do not maintain one constant speed, either slow or fast, for a long period of time.

• Do not drive constantly at full-throttle or high engine rpm for extended periods of time.

• Avoid unnecessary hard stops.

• Avoid full-throttle starts.

• Do not tow a trailer.
