I think this is much better than the 1K plus that we need to spend to upgrade to AA or Apple CarPlay?

Whats the difference actually?

Yep, aware it can be gotten now, but how's yours done? You mentioned it's AIO tweaks.. So the easy usb alone hack or had to do the serial hack first?

thumbup.gif.. The cons are real. I have noticed too that the auto wiper sometimes goes pretty fast when it shouldn't. Need to fiddle with the settings some more. Or perhaps it's the Rain-X on it? hmm.gif Lastly, if only the made the auto-hold auto enabled upon each start instead of the istop..

It is not easy to retrofit AA and CP, need to dismantle whole Centre console to install new USB hub and new wires.

The auto wipers speed is speed-sensitive. If you drive fast, it will swipe faster. The speed markers will set how frequent you want the wiper to swipe at normal speed. I set mine to the third marker and it worked fine so far.

What do you all think of the i-Stop system? I found out that gentle pressure on the brake will not activate i-Stop. If you are in the Fuel Monitor Screen, a message requesting you to press the brake harder will come on. This works well with the Auto Hold feature. Light pressure to activate auto hold with no i-Stop. I found the i-Stop jarring when it cuts-off. My CX-5 is a 2.2D AWD.

Yes you can. The serial hack actually enables the USB port installation which has been disabled by the latest firmware. If you know how to do it or dare to do it, you can head to AIO tweaks website. They have a step by step guide which requires you to dismantle the whole center console. If you do not have the confident to do it, you can always pay to have some body to do it for you. If not mistaken, someone in the Facebook group is doing it for 400+.

The main difference between AIO, Android interface and official Mazda AA is that Android interface has more features like adding on 360 camera (add on separately), watching video on the screen and etc. Official Mazda AA requires switching the cables and hub/port which gives more voltage or ampere (I can't remember) which in turn charges your phone better.

The cheapest I saw was samurai shades. Not sure how good it is but it's way cheaper than the rest as it's made in Thailand.

Don't really fancy the auto wipers. I prefer the old slow, medium and fast pace wiping. About the i-stop, totally hates it. I am a heavy pedal presser so it's hard to do a soft/hard braking. I don't like the vibration when it starts/stops.

Yeah, about the wipers.. Thing is, on the few occassions I spotted it, I wasn't driving fast. Can't recall exactly, but should be under 50km/h.. I also believe I set the speed markers at level 2. Will double-check later and monitor accordingly.

I've mastered driving around with the auto-hold enabled all the time. Infact, now its, start engine - Switch off i-Stop - Mirrors out and auto-hold on. My dislike for the istop feature (despite the car starts up and moves fairly quickly) is more about the added wear and tear, as the vibration is quite evident. Plus sometimes, it kicks in when i don't need to.. Especially when the brake is pressed properly to activate the auto-hold..triggers the engine off. Okay la for long traffic lights, but not for bumper to bumper jam.. So off it stays.. smile.gif

Ninja shades even expensive right?

I thought Ninja > Groovy in price..

BTW, i just tint my car...put another layer onto the side and back windows, but tear down the front tint completely. with 5 years warranty somemore.

Now it is cooler than before..

Nah, Groovy more premium than Ninja, hence more expensive. I couldn't justify spending that much. I'm still contemplating either doing all or just the front. Front is a must. No time yet to send.

Ic...front is a must really, that tint installer guy tear off the tint and show me...that tint is almost 0% sunlight block, looks like a normal transparent paper..

My tint job just required 1hr+, because my need tore off front tint only not whole car..

now i am looking in taobao for transparent sticker for my piano black panel...but it is expensive af.

I bought my 7-pcs Ninja magnetic sunshades for RM230 from a shop at Alam Damai. For the product, the price is quite reasonable really.
