2.0gls is about 2.5 months. 2.2d has less demand. Could be 2 weeks to 3 months.

Thanks for the reply, bro. Hoping to test drive the 2.2d and the 2.5GLS tomorrow...:-)

Cheers to all!

Which branch you'll go for the test drive?
If Glenmarie, you can test the cornering along Jalan Kerjaya, just watch out for family of monkeys that sometimes appear along the road

Yup.
Mine is 2.2D Fwd.

Traffic in Glenmarie is reasonably quiet during the weekend but the LRT construction along Persiaran Kerjaya are not good to test the pick-up and acceleration, so maybe you can ask the SA to take you to Federal Highway to test for speed.

Just came back from Kuantan yesterday. After reaching Genting sempah, I notice alot car flash me when I try to corner at about 90-110 kmh speed. i already can feel alot body roll and my passenger already like semi-screaming. Lol. 2 persons in that ride. Those car that flashed and overtook me were like Accord, x5 and even inspira that can corner as the high speed >110km/hr. I need to reduce the speed back to 70-90kmh to gain back comfort. Is that normal or I am still not get use to the karak highway?
*
Today try again GVC at Genting Sempah to Gombak. Finally able to keep up and corner at 120-130kmh. (Just trying out, I don't usually drive like a maniac tongue.gif). The problem previously was the autogear shifted to 5th gear during cornering hence it was very difficult to control. The changes I made this time was so simple, just need to shift to sport mode. The speed mapping actually increase the rev by delaying the shift of gear hence from 70-120kmh, the car remain @ 3rd or 4th gear, hence cornering made way easier.

I am not good at manual shifting, hence I leave it to the car to help me. Sport mode works very well for cornering uphill and downhill

thanks for tips, this one right? https://sicurez.com.my/products/viofo-a129-...view_theme_id=3

. i wish i survey more before i buy. But i have already bought the front dash cam coz i was rushing to outstation last week.

Anyhow, front dash cam is only RM250, i can buy 1 more unit and still the collective cost is low. smile.gif
*
Yep.. That's the one. If really interested, you could just sell off what you've bought and get the Viofo instead. brows.gif

Sure, you can buy one more cheap cam.. But that means using 2 power sources and memory cards instead of one. Also remember dashcams are not made equal. IMO, the guys at Viofo make really good affordable cams, use capacitors instead of batteries (this is very important for hotter climates like ours and especially if you regularly park outside in the sun), and they stand by their products with fw updates, etc. They are my benchmark and any other that doesn't perform at their level or more isn't worth my considerations.

Expect to find the 2.5 to be a more linear acceleration drive.. My guess it's tuned that way.. The diesel is more beast and so takes a certain way and amount of pressure to spool that 2nd turbo, for that extra pull. Also pay attention to the diesel engine sound.. Inside is far quieter than on the outside. Some people are sensitive to the sound and may not like it. So make sure you are comfy with it... Else get the petrol engine.. The diesel engine does a low grunt/rumbling sound as opposed to the petrol engine.

Nope.. Not yet installed.. It's still fresh and I'm waiting on the price to drop some more and more polished fw. Also still mulling over if I really need a back dashcam and or can hide the wires all discreetly. Cuz see, I've got sunshades at the back too and don't want to lose that privacy..
See here for a detailed review by the dashcam expert.. He knows his stuff..

Just want a confirmation, does cx-5 has that 360 view when reversing?
*
Nope it doesn't... Just a regular rearview cam with lines ( they don't move with the steering position)..

I believe that's for Thailand market?.?.. Definitely not Malaysian market.. Next up, only they want to add powered boot AND buyers still have to pay RM2K for it.. So, have to wait long more for 360 view and other stuffs.. Not to mention increased price.. laugh.gif laugh.gif

They should just hurry up and get us AA and Carplay..

My cx5 skyactiv 2.0. Mileage 71k. Due for service. Any recommendations for engine oil? Some suggest 0-20 , some suggest 0-30. What's the best option? A little confused.

Electronics brake is FL model...dont get the old hand brake which is initial 1st gen without commander knob...2016 suppose already have FL...if 2016 initial model then maybe is clear stock unit or very early of 2016...

Would suggest 5w-30 full synthetic but I believe most SC don't have that. Need to top up for full synthetic oil ya.
