QUOTE(Not A GTR fanboy @ Sep 2 2018, 03:48 PM) Just wait till end of the year if you want promo... Thanks. I've been doing an endless loop by comparing both CX5 and CRV, both to my liking.Since SST already implemented, no point to buy now cause you still have to wait at least 3 months to get your car I like Honda Sensing so if I choose CRV, it will be the one with HS. As for CX5, I think I might go with the 2.2D 2WD. Now, still not sure which to get, still looking around for other models too. Coming from ASX, my priority is to have bigger boot size, bigger cabin size and gadgets Those who're using car seats, can you share your experience? Does it still left ample space after placing the car seat? Can 2 adult sit next to it? |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Sep 2 2018, 05:35 PM) Not me.. First Shell, then Petronas non-stop, then Shell once again.. Got lesser mileage than norm.. Then pumped Petronas back again and got highest mileage ever.. Did Shell make Petronas better? What I think you are experiencing is the oil needing its first change. I experienced the same "lack of power", but right after oil change.. Next day hit the highway and damn good pickup and feels.. Been alright since then. 2.2d and cx5 fun aside.. My earnest advice? These clears up the confusion.. Just get the CRV and be done. It checks all the boxes and so you won't regret one bit on those most important stuffs. QUOTE(widget @ Sep 2 2018, 10:17 PM) If rear space and boot size are your priority, get the CR-V and be done with it. Stop looking back at the CX-5. Rear seats of CX-5 is not as spacious as CR-V or other similarly-sized SUV. On my previous 2011 Kia Sportage GT and my FIL’s 2014 CR-V, we can seat 3 adults in the rear but on the CX-5, it will be very cramped The only way you can seat 2 adults with baby seat is by placing the baby seat in the center, and the adults have to be slim built. I’m using Graco Slim baby seat with belt-type Isofix latch, so I am able to put the car seat in the center, but if your baby seat is using fixed isofix, you can only seat 1 adult in the rear QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Sep 3 2018, 08:10 AM) If you only target for space especially boot space then no doubt only CRV, CX5 boot space not much different from ASX. Tested my colleagues New CRV and CX5, new CRV NVH pretty bad w/ rough road noise/wind noise/shaking which quite similar to my initial FL CX5 model but new CX5 NVH is awesome plus back passenger comfort mainly the GVC. Spacious but not that comfort due to NVH issue or less spacious but perfect drive w/ optimum NVH, your own choice. Initial FL CRV NVH much better and comfort but not sure why they degrade it in new model which could be new design so take time to improve in next FL. QUOTE(Duckies @ Sep 3 2018, 09:34 AM) From your requirement "bigger boot size, bigger cabin size", CR-V definitely fits the bill. Whether the handling and NVH is on par or lower than CX-5, you'll need to test it out to see if it's to your liking. Wow, everyone seems to be in a agreement of CRV for bigger boots and cabin space.CX-5 is on the losing side in terms of boot size and cabin size. The rear seats fit comfortable for 2 person but a bit cramp for 3. On the other hand, the rear seats for CR-V is big enough for 4 person but you have to squeeze in a bit. Gadget and tech wise I believe they are on par but only if you compare the highest spec of CX-5 which is the diesel variant against the CR-V TCP variant with Honda sensing. Unfortunately, wife didn't like CRV. Went to Audi but only got Q3, Q5 no stock until next year. Planning to drop by Mazda showroom tomorrow to test CX5 again kaw kaw, will bring my daughter's carseat and probably a luggage to gauge its boot space. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Sep 15 2018, 09:16 PM) Ask for real year of manufacture.. Facelift.. Oh, for some reason I thought I saw a video with the host saying it comes with the bird's eye view. Would be awesome if it's true.Nope it doesn't... Just a regular rearview cam with lines ( they don't move with the steering position).. |
