I guess the easiest way to differentiate is the warranty period (4 or 5 years against 1 year) and the key fob. Third party power tailgate does not have an extra button on the key fob.

Yea...now a slight regret why buy so early since pre-tax and SST price is the same. Plus now has the option to add on factory fitted power tailgate and if wait a bit more can get year end rebates/discounts which means way cheaper than pre-tax period

Oh well, the ship has sailed. I guess all we can do now is enjoy the ride

Actually it is around 3-4k more expensive. Maybe similar to year end discount. But the 2k deal for tailgate is something i wanted.

It is ok, i have a 1 yr old kid, so think positive and the autotailgate has risk of snapping little fingers.. blessing in disguise.

Just got a call from SA to offer me an immediate stock of SRC 2.2D FWD while i ordered AWD. She said need to wait for at least 1.5 months for the AWD. In dilemma now...

Btw, any member here has installed TPMS in the 2nd gen CX5?

It had been confirmed power boot will be come w/ stock design as my colleague fren from Inokom mention they already start install and test on new car d... but spec or details of the power boot dunno yet...

143k is with sst and power boot for new batch.

Looks like we are forced to pay for sst pricing.. Mazda Malaysia absorbing sst is a lie.

What was the price again during pre-gst? 141k if not mistaken. So in a sense they did not minus out the SST but add on with power tailgate. Okay what.

Yep pre gst price is about 141k.

U got it wrong. If you booked before 31st August, your cx-5 that arrive in October is still rm141k (if it's 2.0 GLS), not follow the post sst price

RM143K I think is the price for those booking from 1st sept onwards. It is with power boot.

What i'm saying is that you have to topup 2k on top of your 141K for the compulsory power boot. At the end of the day you are paying almost the same price.

I think the post-sst price 143k is without powerboot. If you want power boot, it will be rm145k.

Anyhow, I am not sure 100% of the car booked before September now fitted with powerboot. There are still some owners of cx-5 from Facebook group that got car this week without powerboot.

I just call my SA this morning, I ask him is that possible my car book at early aug can get the original power tailgate and he say can.. just top up 2k

what i heard car after November will be with powerboot. Additional 2k required on top of price after SST which is around 145k for 2.0gls model

Anyhow, front dash cam is only RM250, i can buy 1 more unit and still the collective cost is low.
