i'll pinch u dude, very hard one did he mentioned the details of the offer?i think the amount of money offered is the most interesting issue here..i think all clubs will have their offers heard by valencia only if the money is 30million euros or above i think its more logical for roma to be interested on etoo, rather than cisse

Totti racing through recovery Friday 1 August, 2008 Francesco Totti is “a month ahead of schedule” in his fight back from a devastating knee injury and could be playing again in two weeks.
The Roma captain tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a 1-1 draw with Livorno in April and had been told he would be sidelined for around six months.
However, he has been working hard and the latest check-ups showed excellent progress.
“He is a month ahead of schedule,” confirmed Professor Mariani, who performed the operation. “After the first gradual start to the rehabilitation process, it is now time for the athletic phase of recovery.
“It is here that the fear begins to take hold and you can only overcome that by playing. I told Francesco I didn’t need to see him anymore and I am handing him over to the fitness staff at Roma.”
It is excellent news for Totti, who at this rate could make his comeback in a friendly match against Frosinone in two weeks’ time.
It is entirely possible he could feature, albeit as a substitute, in the Italian Super Cup with Inter on August 24. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug1r.html

Friendly: Roma held in Monaco Saturday 2 August, 2008 Roma’s pre-season form improved with a 0-0 draw in Monaco, while Nicola Amoruso gave Torino victory over Vicenza.
The Giallorossi could be forgiven for expecting another mauling after their 3-1 defeat to Steaua Bucharest last week, but the fitness work done in training is starting to take effect.
Daniele De Rossi and Mirko Vucinic already look in good form and the former Lecce striker was unlucky not to hit the back of the net at least once.
Their best chance came after 39 minutes, when De Rossi threaded through for Vucinic to fire on to the side-netting in a one-on-one with the French goalkeeper.
Vucinic also showed himself to be an able creator by setting up two chances for Vincenzo Montella.
Artur improved considerably in goal following his howlers in Bucharest and John Arne Riise looked good in the first half.
“We played a good game,” said Coach Luciano Spalletti. “I liked the fitness and stamina levels of the squad.
“Vucinic had some great moves, while I told Montella he made a simple mistake on Mirko’s assist, but it’s fine like this.”
Torino were also in action this evening and a brace from summer signing Amoruso saw off Serie B outfit Vicenza 2-1.
The former Reggina striker made the most of two Alessandro Rosina assists after 13 and 35 minutes. Eugenio Corini’s error in midfield allowed Pietribiasi to pull one back for Vicenza. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug2u.html

Roma line up Benayoun bid Saturday 2 August, 2008 While Luciano Spalletti draws up the signing he wants this summer, it is reported that Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun fits the bill.
“We are looking for someone very physical who can play as a wide striker,” explained the Roma Coach.
“Everyone likes David Silva, but he is too expensive. Lukas Podolski is an excellent player, but would not fit into our style of play.
“Florent Malouda and Julio Baptista would be good choices, but their future depends on how other transfer deals go.”
The Giallorossi are waiting to see if Real Madrid sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, which would release Baptista. Malouda could go if Real then hand Robinho over to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports claim that Roma are looking at Benayoun as an alternative should these scenarios drag on too long.
The Israeli international has been linked with several different sides, including Manchester City and West Ham United.
The 28-year-old could be released by Liverpool so that they can put together more cash for their Gareth Barry bid.
Roma are in action tonight with a friendly against Monaco.http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug2j.html

Totti makes Egypt trip Tuesday 5 August, 2008 Francesco Totti has made the journey to Cairo with Roma’s squad to face Al-Ahly in tomorrow’s friendly.
The Lupi have had a mixed pre-season so far with a defeat against Steaua Bucharest and a draw in Monaco.
The next test for last season’s second-placed side is a trip to Egypt to play the country’s champions Al-Ahly.
Inspirational captain Totti has been named in the squad after making a positive recovery from a serious knee injury he sustained against Livorno in April.
Er Pupone is still highly unlikely to feature in Egypt as he has only just started to kick a ball again but the Giallorossi ace’s inclusion is a positive sign in his bid to recover in time for the Italian Super Cup on August 24. Meanwhile, Coach Luciano Spalletti has admitted that the Eternal City outfit are keen to sign Florent Malouda and Julio Baptista.
“Our club isn’t able to sign whoever they want,” the Tuscan tactician explained.
“We like Malouda and Baptista and we will have to see how the negotiations develop and weigh up everything as we go along.”
Roma squad: Alvarez, Andreolli, Aquilani, Artur, Brighi, Brosco, Cicinho, De Rossi, Esposito, Juan, Loria, Mexes, Mladen, Okaka, Pena, Perrotta, Pipolo, Pizarro, Riise, Totti, Virga, Vucinichttp://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug5l.html

Friendly: Roma conquer Cairo Wednesday 6 August, 2008 Roma picked up an impressive 3-0 victory in Egypt against Al-Ahly thanks to Mauro Esposito, Matteo Brighi and David Pizarro.
Luciano Spalletti's men registered Al-Ahly's worst ever defeat to a European club, as previously their heaviest scoreline was 3-1 to Barcelona last year and they finished third in the Club World Cup in 2006.
The Giallorossi were missing Francesco Totti - who was still in Cairo for the event - Christian Panucci, Marco Cassetti, Max Tonetto, Alexandre Doni, Rodrigo Taddei and Vincenzo Montella.
Under-19 international Stefano Okaka Chuka had a goal incorrectly disallowed before Esposito volleyed in a Cicinho cross from the right.
Al-Ahly fought back immediately and goalkeeper Artur improved on his previous summer outings, although the defence kept him overall fairly protected. Simone Loria replaced Cicinho in the second half to experiment a three-man defence with John Arne Riise and Valerio Virga out wide in midfield.
Roma were still leading, but really took control of the scoreline when Eno was sent off on 71 minutes.
Edgar Alvarez proved impressive as he set up Brighi for the second goal and moments later earned a penalty that was converted successfully by Pizarro.
Roma's next friendly is in London on Sunday against Tottenham.
Al-Ahly: Amir; Barakat, Gooma, Shedy, Gilberto; Eno, Ahmed Hassan, Mostafa (Ashur 40); Abu Treka; Mote'b, Flavio Roma: Artur; Cicinho (Loria 65), Juan, Mexes (Mladen 75), Riise (Andreolli 75); De Rossi (Brosco 81), Brighi; Esposito (Alvarez 46), Perrotta (Virga 65), Aquilani (Pizarro 46); Okaka http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug6s.html

Totti back on target Friday 8 August, 2008 Francesco Totti could make his Roma comeback on Thursday after scoring a cracking goal in training today.
The captain has been out of action since snapping the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the 1-1 draw with Livorno on April 19.
He was expected to be sidelined for at least six months, but has rocketed through the recuperation process.
This evening Totti brought a smile to fans’ faces when he scored a great goal in a game between ranks.
Er Pupone shimmied past a defender with a dummy and blasted a right-foot strike into the top corner.
It is now believed he could make his official comeback in Thursday’s friendly test with Serie B side Frosinone.
If he does well there, it is not out of the question Totti could feature in the Italian Super Cup clash against Inter on August 24.
However, he will not travel to London for the match with Tottenham on Sunday. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug8t.html

Report: Roma capture 'Beast' Sunday 10 August, 2008 The Spanish media report that Julio Baptista has agreed a move to Roma and will be in the peninsula to complete the transfer on Monday. The Brazilian has been in negotiations with the club for some time, but both his wage demands and the £12m price-tag placed on him by Real Madrid suggested the deal would not happen. On Saturday Coach Luciano Spalletti confessed in a Press conference that Baptista was “ideal” and that seems to have pushed Roma into breaking the bank for this player. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, it was also Baptista who helped facilitate the move by begging his Madrid bosses to lower their financial expectations. The former Arsenal man has been pushed further down the pecking order by the arrival of Rafael Van Der Vaart and is eager for more playing time. A compromise was reportedly found by Real lowering the price-tag to £7.5m plus another £1.5m in performance-related bonuses. Roma director of sport Daniele Pradé is expected to fly out and complete the paperwork on Monday, then return to the Italian capital with ‘The Beast’ in tow. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug10j.html
