QUOTE(PGV3910 @ May 25 2007, 07:34 PM) hahahahforget it, totti already won wc, Added on May 26, 2007, 1:45 am24/05/2007 18.36 Chivu Unconcerned About Juventus Links Christian Chivu's agent claimed that rumours about the Romanian leaving Roma the coming summer were unfounded. A report had claimed this morning that Roma defender Christian Chivu's move to Juventus was only a matter of time. However, the Romanian's agent, Andrea Pretti, has categorically denied any dealings between the Bianconeri and his client. "There should be more seriousness, I've read entire pages on a presumed deal with Juve that in fact does not exist," Pretti said, speaking during a radio program. "The player wants to stay at Roma and the situation is much calmer than it seems. "There is still some time to have a meeting about his contract and we certainly don't need to put it at the top of the agenda yet." The Romanian international has been linked with a summer move to a number of clubs allegedly interested in his services, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter and Juventus. Pretti admitted that the defender, who made his move from Ajax to Roma in the summer of 2003, was close to joining Inter two years ago. "The Nerazzurri had made an offer for him, but in the end it failed and he was happy to remain with the Giallorossi," he claimed. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=311496 This post has been edited by scorps: May 26 2007, 01:45 AM |

Spalletti Sure Of Chivu And Mexes Stay The Roma coach is convinced that the important Giallorossi players will remain with the club despite attracting the interest of various big European teams. Spalletti Sure Of Chivu And Mexes Stay Luciano Spalletti is not worried about the transfer speculations concerning his players, in particular Christian Chivu and Philippe Mexes. "I know something about what happens in the various negotiations, I hear the availability of the players to remain. "We have created a group and we shall try to hold on to it, but then in football it can happen that there are some changes. "When the players publicly declare that they want to stay, they are saying the truth, because their friendship off the playing field is evident. "With their desire to remain, we can find an agreement, but if then something different occurs it doesn't matter. At that point we must be ready, because it's our intention to strengthen Roma. "I think it's always difficult to compete against Inter and Milan." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=313270 |

Rumours are just that at the moment, but midfielder Simone Perrotta has gone ahead and ruled out any prospoect of his teammate leaving Rome. QUOTE "I don't think Chivu will leave, he is loyal to our shirt and cause," he said. "Our leaders are serious and honest, and ready to create a more competitive squad in view of next year, despite the fact that many here seem to realize that the Coppa Italia is the most important trophy." what's your opinions?? |

QUOTE(nasik @ Jun 6 2007, 05:45 PM) f***ing inter. how many goalkeeper/defender/midfielder/striker they want to buy? like they can defend scudetto next season with juventus around. if they cant defend next season inter is officially a loser. 06/06/2007 7.56Chivu's Agent Expected In Roma For Decisive Meeting The meeting will be held this morning and the Romanian's future will be decided, with the defender expected to leave the Giallorossi for Inter. All Roma fans will be hoping in a favourable outcome of the meeting which will be held this morning in Villa Pacelli in Rome, between the Giallorossi's Director of Sports, Prade, and the player's agent, Victor Becali, in front of the General Director of Roma, Rosella Sensi. The meeting was originally scheduled to be held in Romania, but all parties involved agreed to meet directly in the offices of Villa Pacelli. Roma will do its utmost to hold on to their influential defender and continue building around him the solid bases for another successful season following the last one. However, everything seems to point towards an Inter move according to the speculation and reports coming from the Italian media, and in the end we shall learn Chivu's future later on during the day. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=321275 |

The big rumor in the Italian football media is that Chivu will be announced as an Inter Milan player tomorrow.
Apparently Inter are giving Chivu a contract worth euro3.5 million per year for 5 years. The best Roma could offer was euro2.5 miilion per year for 4 years. Roma will receive, somthing like, Samual (CB), the rest of Pizzaro's contract (MF) and euro4 million. That is a bit expensive for Inter but I think both teams will be better for the deal. Source: http://www.goal.com/it/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=321047 Inter will have a very, very good back-line of: Maicon - Matrix - Cordoba/Burdisso - Chivu Roma will replace Chivu with Samuel, who is still young (28), they will be able to afford Mexes contract, who is a better CB than Chivu, and own Pizzaro, one of their best players. The deal should be announced tomorrow... |

Mexes Signs New Contract, Asks Chivu To Stay Defender Philippe Mexes has signed a new four year contract with Roma. The Frenchman's contract was set to run out next summer, so this will come as a huge shot in the arm for Roma, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding Christian Chivu. Surprisingly, though, the new deal is said to have a 16 million euro buy-out clause written into it, a sum clubs could be willing to pay for him. The contract will sees him tied down until 2011, and net a minimum of 2.5 million euros a year - which could rise depending on various success related clauses. "I have just signed and I am very happy," Mexes told Roma Channel. "I knew that my relationship with Roma would be a long one. "When you sign and play with a team, you certainly don't want to leave after only two seasons. "This has been a difficult year for me, but now I am happy and I hope I will continue to do well. Roma are competitive and we will fight to obtain important results from now on." He also expressed hope that Christian Chivu would stay on: "I will be disappointed if he were to leave, he is a humble and calm player. "If he goes I will wish him good luck and I will ask him to come back." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=323538 |

QUOTE(scorps @ Jun 9 2007, 11:20 PM) 09/06/2007 19.58Chivu Denies Inter Deal AS Roma defender Cristian Chivu has denied signing a deal to join Inter this summer. The Romanian star has been strongly linked to the Nerazzurri, with Walter Samuel and David Pizarro going the other way on a permanent basis. "In the past year the media moved me from one club to another every day," the Romanian told reporters at Bucharest airport. "None of these reports are true. "I'm a Roma player for a year more so I'm not allowed to be contacted by any club." "For the moment, I'm in talks with my club in order to find ways to extend our contract." Chivu's agent Victor Becali said earlier this week that he had received offers for the player from several Italian, Spanish and English clubs. Another key defender Philippe Mexes has already signed a new four-year contract with the club and Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalletti will be hoping that Chivu follows suit. The defender has proved a big hit since moving to the Stadio Olimpico from Ajax in 2003. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=324245 |

Perrotta: I'll Never Play Abroad AS Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta says he has no ambition to play abroad. The Italian international was born in England but has no designs on moving to the Premiership or anywhere else. He spent his early years in Ashton-under-Lyne but now considers his hometown to be Cerisano. "I would never want to play abroad," he said. "For me, it is always a pleasure to return to Cerisano, because it is the only place where I feel at ease. "Here I am not just a player, but the everyday Simone. When I left home I had an objective, to honour my surname and the name of my town. Perhaps at the end of my career I will return here." On a potential move to the Premiership, he added: "I am not even remotely considering it. I am extremely close to Roma. I didn't leave when the waters were choppy, so I certainly won't be walking out now." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=324657 |

Christian Wilhelmsson has stated his desire to remain with Roma.
The Nantes winger spent last season on a very successful season-long loan in the Eternal City. He has been linked with numerous moves across the continent, but he insists that he wants to seal a permanent move to Roma - although he admits there are other options. "I want to stay at Roma," Wilhelmsson told Sportbladet. "I am really enjoying myself at the club and everything has worked fine. "I have got much more experience and have progressed. "My agent takes care of it. There are certainly other alternatives and clubs who are interested. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...+stay&channel=& |

Roma Make First Summer Signings AS Roma have made their first concrete moves of the summer, though they are probably not the ones the Giallorossi faithful were hoping for. A relatively unknown player from Romania and another from Serie B, are the first two signings! The latter involves 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Ahmed Barusso, who is expected to complete his move from Rimini to the Eternal City side. Barusso underwent a two-day long medical as the Roma medical staff feared he hadn't completely recovered from a tibia fracture he suffered last October. Roma will pay 3 million Euros to the Serie B outfit for the player's registration. This is the club's second signing, after unknown Romanian defender Andreas Pit announced he had signed for Roma on a free transfer. The 24-year-old played with Swiss outfit Bellinzona last year. It is still unclear whether Pit will be actually integrated within coach Luciano Spalletti's squad, or if he will be used as an exchange piece in future transfer deals. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=327906 |

Wilhelmsson Discussing Roma Stay Christian Wilhelmsson is in talks over continuing his spell at Roma. The Swedish international is at the end of his 12-month loan spell from Ligue 1 side Nantes, but is said to be keen to stay in Rome. His agent, Mino Raiola, is currently speaking with Roma about the possibility of extending the deal for another 12 months, and is hopeful something can be worked out. "I think that there is a real possibility that he will stay at Roma for another year," Raiola said on a radio show. "The boy wants to remain and the club have the intention of keeping him for another season. "Therefore, that is what we are working on." The midfielder scored one goal in 19 appearances, but has impressed whenever given the chance. Roma are unwilling to spend on the player, but Luciano Spalletti could be open to another loan deal. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=328295 |

6/15/2007 No Roma Offer For Quagliarella - Agent Fabio Quagliarella's agent talked about rumours linking the player to Roma and fixed the asking price at around 18 million euros. ![]() The name of striker Fabio Quagliarella is being linked to a number of Italian and foreign clubs, including Roma, with Spalletti publicly having declared his interest. However, the player's agent denies that the Giallorossi have ever come up with an offer for his client. "I know that Fabio is well liked by Spalletti", Silvio Pagliari explained. "But I haven't heard from anyone yet: Roma have not tabled an offer yet and the price for the player is around 18 million euros." The co-ownership issue involving Sampdoria and Udinese is another factor, as both clubs will want enough for their share. "His situation at present is clear," the agent said. "We shall wait and see what the two clubs decide to do. "Things might go on as they have this year, unless there is a third team in the background planning to purchase him." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=329125 |
