The Etymotic research has more cleaner, flater, analytical sound, UE has more energy in it.

hi all, i currently looking to purchase a budget IEM for my gf and a better one for myself.
currently looking at Philips SHE9600 (RM90) for my gf and AL IM716 for myself. my question is: 1) is there any better phone at RM90 compared to philips SHE9600? (Creative EP630 perhaps?) 2) myself more to a bass head so i need an IEM that performs solid deep bass. is there any phone that performs better than IM716 within RM400 budget? and no SONY IEM for me as i own the EX-71 and the bass is...speechlessly disappointing. |

QUOTE(newbie2 @ Oct 31 2007, 09:48 PM) Yuin PK3? Crisp, clear, more accurate. As for bass, it just produce sufficiently enough. Not for hard bass lover QUOTE(fx_53_xt @ Nov 1 2007, 07:47 PM) hi all, i currently looking to purchase a budget IEM for my gf and a better one for myself. IM716 bass is deep, and articulate. Hello everybody,
-I need some advices here; what's the best headphone (with mic) for budget under (1) RM100, and (2) RM50? Also, I want the type that fully covers your ears. I'm going to pair them with my upcoming Audigy 2 (non-ZS; original gold-plated version). -Secondly, is there any special requirement for listening to so-called HD audio? I mean those 24-bit/192KHz level. -Third, does sound quality produced by sound card tends to degrade by time? I'm buying a second-hand Audigy 2. Thanks! Regards. Hello,
I was thinking of getting a set of Grado, SR60 perhaps as that's the only budget that I have. I know Grado is a good brand of headphone, but I was wondering, how good is it? I've used several earphones/headphones but I just can't seem to differentiate what's good or what's bad. the music still sounds the same to me I'm planning to use it with my iPod. please advise. thanks! |

Just bought the Grado SR-60. Thank you to the people who recommended me this omgwtfbbqsuperawesomefantasticfabulous headphone. Bought at music by design today with a very very reasonable price tag (can't say, but it's cheaper than davis *ahem ahem*).
Definitely will upgrade to a more "expensive" grados in the future |

QUOTE(AtMostFear @ Nov 4 2007, 03:15 PM) Hello, Your bottleneck is your Ipod. Ipod doesn't produce nice musics. And I guess you are using 128kbps aac. Which is worst. Guys, i'm planning to pair Grado SR60 (bought from ijan) with LDM+. So basically my setup would be FLAC>crappy mobo dac>LDM+>Grado. I'm not expecting anything to be wonder with this setup, at least it sounded better with this compare what i had previously which is nothing to begin with. I need some input from you guys to recommend basic DAC which is not overkill for SR60. Im kinda interested with Musiland SVDAC04. Given the budget constraint, I might ditch LDM+ and go straight with SCDAC04 since it have built in amp.

I am sure it will sing nicely without amp. Source is important. So to improve yr listening plesure U should:sure, please guide me to the world of darkness, I have too much of free time now. hehe 1) Convert/download/obtain all yr music into lossless format such as Flac, Alac(apple lossless), APE or even 320kpbs mp3 (not recommended) 2) if use PC, use foobar2000 to play all yr music file. I know winamp is easy and widely use, but foobar2000 offer more in term of quality of music file it played. I said this because I been using winamp for since start use pc. Only recently change to foobar200 and I am impress by it. I regret all this year listen to crappy music play from winamp. 3) if budget allow and ipod is yr only DAP, maybe U can invest in modding yr ipod using Gmod. A forumer here is providing such a service at a reasonable price.. Anyway, Happy This post has been edited by mikelanding: Nov 5 2007, 11:14 PM |
