Ruffstuff, What do you mean by not being square to the bezel? Or you may describe it as not properly aligned?

From bottom top, the bezel width is not even. Like bryan said this is from some user called Gary which having the issue. Maybe it's one deserted case, and everyone is doing fine here.

Well I have to say so far my experience with Dell has been absolutely top notch. From ordering to receiving to trying to get the LCD replaced, have had no problems and everyone has been professional and friendly. As I mentioned before I was on the line just to enquire about their dead pixel policy, and one thing led to another. I didn't think I could complete the replacement request because I'm at the office and unable to get the serial code from my LCD. However the lady I was on the line with told me she will email me, and to which I can then reply to at my convenience with the serial code. With that she'll complete the replacement request.

Top marks to Dell.  thumbup.gif

Once I get my LCD replacement I will send a glowing thank you letter to Dell. I encourage people who have had a good experience with them to do the same. If not by letter, can always email.  biggrin.gif

It's ok to have 2 different resolution monitors side by side, I feel comfortable with it. But never pair CRT & LCD together, it's just so sakit mata. Believe me, you would never want to look at the CRT screen when you got LCD on the other side.

My 19" is a Viewsonic LCD. Anyway, was just thinking that getting two 22" (plus my own 19") may be a lot better for my line of work rather than a single 24" paired with 19"...oh well...

No question about Dell's sales after service. However, seeing alot of people having problems with their new arrived LCDs, doesn't look very good either. Dell really need to improve on that particular area.

This happened to me, though their after sales service is very good, they also need to improve on this! nod.gif

The sample size is still pretty small - I'm sure the number of satisfied Dell customers far outweigh those who have issues. Plus I believe a great majority of people don't notice one or two dead pixels, unlike us more anal retentive tech geeks. flex.gif

People have reported a blue dominance, that goes away after the screen has warmed up. You can always adjust it in the OSD. Robust color calibration.

Actually, it takes quite a few phone call. 1st call, i let the sales person know about the dead pixel. 2nd call, the sales manager (i guess) call me again to analyze the situation. 3rd call, they get the technician to verify the matter. Strangely, the technician ask me to get the snapshot of the dead pixel. So i take photo using camera loh, so hard to get the picture clear. Then send email to them. 2 days later only, i got the call from logistic department for confirming the date of getting the replacement of my new LCD (from Singapore). Took almost 1 week to get my new replacement. And they didn't even take back the another faulty LCD. So i got 2 LCDs, testing & playing around for 3 days before i call them and they take back the other one.

I wanna kill my boss. Last night when I went downstairs at the receptionist counter, I saw 4 boxes.

2 of them was the familiar Dell Box with the label '2407WFP-HC'.

I literary screamed.

Damn the 3D/PostVid dept. They keep getting new toys.

They didnt took back the faulty one?LOL..You must be one lucky guy in the first place being able to play with it for another few days..

When i received my replacement unit, it came with a whole bunch of letters stating that i should return the faulty unit in 10 days time IF it is not given back to the courier service when they arrive. If after 10 days and i have yet to return it to them, they will charge me by stating its sold to me already..

You can opt to keep the faulty unit for 10 days when they send you the replacement unit. Just ask them to pick up a week later. That way you can test both LCDs together and keep the troubleless one.

Yup, you are right. 7 dead pixels policy.
That some people is me  tongue.gif

For me, it's just annoying to see the dead pixel on my new screen, so I complain to Dell loh. I can say that their after-sales service are excellence and helpful. First, I though of rugi RM80 to send it back to Dell but then they agreed to get the replacement for me.

LG Flatron L227WT

This is one good looking LCD. TN panel with NTSC colour space for up to 97%. Says to have a viewing angle of 170 degrees for a TN panel. It has HDCP support as well.
