So when you view the monitor from side, top or bottom, the screen will look a lot darker.can anyone show the picture of its view from different angle.... thanks..... |

QUOTE(demomode @ Jun 12 2007, 12:59 PM) That really sucks man. If I had known their dead pixel policy was so shitty I never would have taken the risk getting my 2407. Luckily there were no problems with my monitor, but seriously seven dead pixels!??! Shake the monitor until something breaks inside and say it was ruined during handling. |

QUOTE(demomode @ Jun 12 2007, 12:59 PM) I was using Stuck pixel program to fix it, it just wont work out. View your screen on a solid white color background. If you see small black dot pixel, it is DEAD pixel. Stuck pixel (Red, Green or Blue color pixel) may gone after a while or they will stay there forever.Izzit Red Pixel = Stuck Pixel & Black = Dead Pixel ? Call to Dell just now, they said u only got exchnge with at least 7 dead pixels. My E228WFP also got some dead pixels problem, but not as much as 7 dead pixels. I was lucky enough to get my LCD replacement for dead-pixels claim. This post has been edited by ckkean: Jun 13 2007, 01:37 PM |

If you know how DELL warranty claim works, you don't even have to do that. Just call them and tell them you have 10 dead pixels, or even hundred. They will send a replacement unit right away. Their dispatch will not examine your unit. In the end, your 1-dead-pixel LCD will end up in some box and will be sent out as refurbished unit for the next lucky guy that demands for a RMA.If I were you people, I would not b1tch about one, two or even three dead or stuck pixels, unless it is really obvious and bothers you. You demand a RMA - you get a refurbished unit. I have received countless refurbished unit from DELL and majority of the units are filthy. You can see finger prints, oil smudges and even ink stains on them. |

I have to say this: Next time you make a large purchase like this, it's really totally up to you to look into the terms and conditions. Always check the return policy.

Two days later, the technician reply my email and i get my replacement LCD from Singapore.they said no, then i had no choice but to ask for refund. & i had to pay 80bucks for pick up charges This post has been edited by ckkean: Jun 15 2007, 09:43 AM |
