I am using 8600GT, and I am having problem going 1680*1050 for some of the games, like STALKER, Overlord, DiRT, unless you lower the settings a lot.

I would say at least a 8800GTS 320MB, for a 22 incher. That itself would mean medium settings for latest games.
*
hmmm...i think 8600gt not powerful enough to play at 1680*1050. my bros pc is a quad 6600 and 320mb geforce 8800gts. can play dirt at max settings and everything run smoothly except during playback where u will experience some slow down. overlord also no problem. if i'm not mistaken my x1950pro 256mb will get more fps than 8600gt. correct me if i'm wrong. brows.gif

i'm currently playing stalker with a 19" LCD at 1440*900 and need to turn down some stuff like grass density, grass shadow, view distance to get it to play at reasonable fps. but texture detail, shadow, object detail all max + full dynamic lighting. but still got slow down here and there. oh yeah, my pc is c2d e6600, 2gb ram & x1950pro 256mb. hope 2 b able to play most current games on the dell 22" when it arrives. but my aim is to get the 8800gts when the price drops to more reasonable price. tongue.gif

Hi,
If the 22" screen resolution is too tough for the current gfx card, does lowering the resolution to 19" screen makes the image blur very much? very noticeable? Thanks in advance
*
u mean if 22" 1650x1050 native reso, then lower to 19" 1440x900 reso? hmmm....i think it won't be as sharp as 22" native. why don't u try it?

now it's already wednesday.....where is my 22" dell lcd vmad.gif mad.gif drool.gif

Thats why I still choose CRT over LCD, but where to find widescreen CRT meh? tongue.gif And if you have balls like me do like what I do... When I bought my HDTV, It has 1 dead pixel and S-PVA panel. I dont mind but after 2 weeks 2 more dead pixel appears. I so mad I bash the screen so hard it flashing 4 to 5 times then it goes blank. Then I turn off the power switch, turn it on and it can only display for 5 to 10 minutes before its turn back off. At first I scared but I tell the shop it suddenly behave like that and luckily they accept it. And now no dead pixel so far and S-IPS panel too! thumbup.gif  biggrin.gif

whoa dude....i think u need to go to anger management class tongue.gif

any difference with previous batch?
*
i dunno cos this is my 1st dell. but can see there is some backlight bleeding around the edge of the screen. only noticeable when it's dark screen. i remember my neighbours 17" dell lcd also had this problem. however my bro's 19" viewsonic lcd had no such problems. but still oklah considering the cheap price. tongue.gif color more or less the same as viewsonic.
