That's a good price where did you get it from?

I'm looking at the 65" QN85B now and wondering whether is it worth to upgrade to OLED LG C2 but I feel the price jump is too high. Perhaps going to QN95B will be sufficient..

I'm seeing RM8339 with EPP, how did you get RM6850 xD
Did you add on additional discount after EPP's prices?

No.. you miss the flash sales. It was RM6850 last week flash sales. This week they lowered the QN85B price to RM60xx. Last week QN85B was RM65xx and QN95B was RM6850. Hence it was no brainer to miss the QN95B.

Dengg, but thanks for the info!

Considering 65QN85B for RM4900 vs 65QN95B for RM6850, is it worth the added cost to go for QN95B?
I guess its mainly IPS vs VA.

If I can find a 65S95B for RM7500 i think that would be a straight grab..

Yeah... I almost grab the S95B when it went on sale last time but my parents dont want to upgrade. Then their TV went kaput 2 months later and there is no more stock available. Still OLED might not be the best choice for them for watching Astro.

You can get QN85B for 4900? That seems like a good price. Might have taken it as well over QN95B. QN95B have much higher brightness and possibly better contrast due to VA vs ADS screen. I can only see that it is so much brighter and pop versus my X90J even with SDR content. Even my parents are complaining it is so bright. I have lowered the brightness to 20 and yet it still outperform my X90J.

Yeah prolly OLED will be overkill for your parents if their source is mainly from Astro.
My use case is mainly in curtained rooms and I do play games from time to time so I'm just thinking whether to hold on and wait till S95B drops further or settle with the QN85B. I don't need wide viewing angles because only 2 person using it, so that kinda negates the only good point of the IPS in the QN85B lol.

Ive come across plenty of youtube videos that it seems 8k tv is pretty useless when it comes to upscaling from 1080P videos

Any guru can confirm this?

Thinking of getting 65' 4K QN95C but if top up 3k more even can get 65' 8k QN900B or another 6k more straight away can get latest 65' 8k QN900C

May be someone asked before.

What do you see when you put a REMUX movie or streaming material with Dolby Vision on to Sammy QN95C or Sammy OLED.

See green (no support) or

HDR/HDR10 like....
HDR10+ like....
SDR like....
Shit like....

Reason I am asking because no Dolby Vision capable to Sammy TV is holding me back from purchasing the TV .

It will default to HDR10 which should be present for DV or HDR10+ movies.

Good info. More accurate colour tone as per content creator intend is what I want. Look like Sammy is out now until they have Dolby Vision because I have quite a number of Dolby Vision contents on hand.

What I know is Samsung will play the contents in green screen when Dolby Vision contents are display on their tv. Aren't Samsung has the technology to read the dynamic metadata of Dolby Vision and convert them to HDR10+?

Vincent teoh finally reviews the S95B.

and found out that the 4x HDMI 2.1 ports are limited to 40gbps instead of the typical 48gbps... which is due to the One Connect Box and this affects the QN95B from last year as well

just a small thing and it only affects gamers that requires the full bandwidth (144 hz PC gaming), but still quite a shame that a flagship tv is limited in such a way

also motion handling seems worse than G3...

Samsung already spun off lcd manufacturing to TCL and also all their VA patents in 2021(or 2022) iirc.

Anybody purchased the 43-inch AU7000 recently? Would like to know what panel it uses. IPS-ADS or VA.
