Well , the Mini-LED performs really well in a way it is much better than typical LCD and IPS monitors .

But on the standard of being a Samsung's 4k flagship , especially if you have seen the previous Q90R  , they have much less blooming and deeper black than the QN90A .
Q90R can probably fool me as an OLED in a dimly lit room [not pitch black].

Wanted to get your opinion on a purchase Convael. Am offered a 55” Q95T for 5.5k and a 55” CX for 6.2k. Am leaning towards q95t because it’s a steal at the price + true HDR brightness. Is the PQ difference from q95t to a Cx worth rm700 more?

The CX is a very versatile TV  , Q95T is great performer in a bright room.
What we look for in HDR isn't just the brightness , we are looking the "Impact " , or the "Oomph" that convey realism in the picture .

As the title indicates , High Dynamic Range is measured from the deepest black to the brightest peak a screen can display .
Therefore , the contrast of the screen should also give you an idea how a TV will perform .
Q95T : 0.025 ~ 1500 cd/m2 = approx. 15000 : 1 contrast rating
CX : 0 [True black]  ~ 700 cd/m2 = approx. 1000000 : 1 contrast rating , potentially infinite in a dark room .
Due to the nature of human eyes , we see more details in the darker side than in the brighter spectrum .
Therefore in terms of sheer HDR impact CX will almost always be the winner , the dimmer your room environment is .

But if you got a lit-up room particularly one with sunlight breach , the Q95T will serve you better .

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I need to buy both, a CX for the bedroom and a q95t for the living room sweat.gif

Hi, where to get above offer ya?

I chatted directly with a Desa Home sales rep and enquired. Pulled the trigger on the q95t with 0 panel hours.

Also quick review for anyone interested in a q95t , it’s definitely made for a room with lots of sunlight. Reflection handling is superb.

Conversely because the default movie HDR/SDR settings is relatively ‘bright’ by default, I needed to adjust the local dimming/brightness/contrast enchancer whenever the room is dim/dark as it can be quite glaring for the uninitiated. My panel also had noticeable DSE when panning across uniform shots like the blue/gray skies in 1917 (HDR10+ supported). The dark scenes was handled good with barely any noticeable blooming and detail for me was kept well.

Oh one other thing. Tizen OS sucks. Couldn’t get Samsung’s Plex version to work with my local server and all the other apps appear outdated/clunky. Used my google tv chromecast in lieu of, miles better.

if you can afford it.... go for S95B, QD-OLED is superior in many ways comapred to traditional WRGD OLED

and its the only option available for us now since Sony Msia seems to have no plans to release A95K here...

Samsung is notorious in dropping its price for older tv models, doesn't matter which division. I'd recommend those that want to get the s95b to wait till next year. 50% off retail price is a good buy imo.

May be someone asked before.

What do you see when you put a REMUX movie or streaming material with Dolby Vision on to Sammy QN95C or Sammy OLED.

See green (no support) or

HDR/HDR10 like....
HDR10+ like....
SDR like....
Shit like....

Reason I am asking because no Dolby Vision capable to Sammy TV is holding me back from purchasing the TV .

It will default to HDR10 which should be present for DV or HDR10+ movies.
