Wait, which BIOS update? STEVE@ILLEGEAR actually pulled the updates off this thread (check back a page) for some reason.

Check back with Illegear? Maybe there are issues with the update itself thus it was pulled?

Okay, I think I need to address this. Since the first day I got my hand on this laptop, the first thing I noticed is when using mouse either the trackpad or wired/wireless mouse, it often juddering i.e. not smooth. It's like using a wireless mouse with almost depleted battery. It normally happened when opening/closing software such as firefox, chrome etc. CPU usage was not at full load.

Another thing is, sometimes when the above happened, my screen brightness changed for a moment like changing back to default icc and then back to the calibrated profile.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi nyunyu, for your mouse/trackpad issues i suggest you to uninstall the previous touchpad drivers and reinstall the drivers that you can download from the link down below to solve your problem, specifically the "SerialIO" driver.

For the screen brightness issue that you encountered, that is consider normal, when you first starting windows it using the default color profile, after few seconds the color profile we provide will be activated. smile.gif

Thanks, will do.

Although, a suggestion if I may. Would it be possible to have a page with all the drivers download break down to each of its own link? rather than having to redownload the whole gigabyte of data again. I'm sure there's an abundant of opensource php script that you could utilise. wink.gif

Thank you STEVE@ILLEGEAR for the update. May I know if you have the changelog?
I just updated mine and noticed a couple of things.
- Fan kicked in early during windows boot and stays audible
- Turbo fan switch does nothing when pressed.

Normally the laptop stays quiet for light browsing and doing some office work but now after updating bios, I can always hear the fan. Anything you could help? Can I go back to the old bios?

My system is unstable after updating to the new Bios too, more often BSOD while playing games or multitasking (downloading Steam games while browsing)

Specs: i7-8750H, GTX1060, 2x8GB RAM, 256 GB NVME SSD

Possible to revert to old bios ?

Ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics and it showed no errors, took a while to complete though.

Tried to check more details of the RAM model with CPU-Z, but it cannot show any details about my RAM haha. Don't know the make or brand of my RAM. (Mine are the illegear stock sticks)
