I usually pour a bottle of it everytime after 10k service interval. All fuel already hv detergent in it. It's just that this product is more concentrated & i added it every 10k to serve as a preventive maintenance to clean existing carbon deposits & minimize any future build-up.

U might also wanna consider revving ur engine hard once in a while. It is a method which they coined it as "Italian tuneup" & it's what the technicians in Ferrari do after each service maintenance to rid carbons. The key is to rev ur engine hard & get it hot enough to naturally burn off those carbons.

Actually, that seemed somewhat right. I remember I drove outstation alot, and I drove hard. I remember there was minimal to almost no pinging during that period. But the car now is just 100% city driving, alot of traffic light. So I guess there is no chance to rev hard and burn off those carbons unless I do it idle. But there is a rev limiter that cuts off at 3k RPM.

Just to share my experience on claiming insurance in Proton edar.
I have a Persona and thought going back to Proton for insurance claim will be better since they use genuine part.
Long story short, Proton Edar 4S Chan Sow Lin didnt do the repair. They sent my car to somewhere to repair. I have seen it with my eyes where my car was driven from outside to the service centre when I was collecting my car.
When I questioned the insurance department guy, he said "kita ada dua service centre, satu kat luar, sebab sini sudah busy, jadi hantar ke service centre kat luar tu".
I highly doubt his honesty.
Upon collecting the car, the car is full of (at least 15 stains) bird poop etched into the paint.

I suggest you to send your car to your mechanic shop. They will do everything for you, including the jpj, take police report those. Not to mention the good workshop can get your car done in less than two weeks.

Technically, PESC CSL did not cheat you. The one you sent to is their Service Centre, where they only do scheduled vehicle service and minor corrective works.

They will still need to send to PE Body & Paint for the actual repairs and there are not that many of them.

I'm forced to send it back to Proton for the repairs due to the 4 years remaining warranty. I hope it doesn't take too long and that they can arrange a replacement car interim. cry.gif

All modern windscreen is constructed of three layers, two layers of glass and a middle layer of plastic.

It is crazy dangerous if windscreen will shatter upon impact.

No, it's not.
Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin I went is the one in Sungai Besi, which has been upgraded to 4S centre just half a year ago.
I purposely chose to go there because it's a 4S centre.
Edit: Besides, the guy that drove my car back to the service centre and his colleague did not wear Proton shirt.
The insurance department guy also said, kita ada dua tempat. Does it mean that there is another Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin that the public are not aware of and have no access to?
Every time i wash my car, I see those bird poop stain, really upset about it.
Anyway, just wish u good luck with your car.

I wonder if Proton provide free tuning to existing Iriz users since they refined the new CVT gearbox

Problem here is that Proton is closing down their own SCs...

Most is being replaced by 3S dealers which on one hand improves response time, but increases costs on the other...

Proton did open their pricing to these dealers, but most still abuse by recommending their own supplies citing no stock from Proton

Unofficially u can drop a call to that sc which provides the cvt tcu upgrade, with a cost.

Based on the feedback, most said the cvt perform better, less laggy feeling.

Sorry I forgot which sc, but can search probably in iriz, preve fb group.
