Anyone can recommend body & paint for Proton in Puchong & surrounding area?

Just to share my experience on claiming insurance in Proton edar.
I have a Persona and thought going back to Proton for insurance claim will be better since they use genuine part.
Long story short, Proton Edar 4S Chan Sow Lin didnt do the repair. They sent my car to somewhere to repair. I have seen it with my eyes where my car was driven from outside to the service centre when I was collecting my car.
When I questioned the insurance department guy, he said "kita ada dua service centre, satu kat luar, sebab sini sudah busy, jadi hantar ke service centre kat luar tu".
I highly doubt his honesty.
Upon collecting the car, the car is full of (at least 15 stains) bird poop etched into the paint.

I suggest you to send your car to your mechanic shop. They will do everything for you, including the jpj, take police report those. Not to mention the good workshop can get your car done in less than two weeks.

Technically, PESC CSL did not cheat you. The one you sent to is their Service Centre, where they only do scheduled vehicle service and minor corrective works.

They will still need to send to PE Body & Paint for the actual repairs and there are not that many of them.

I'm forced to send it back to Proton for the repairs due to the 4 years remaining warranty. I hope it doesn't take too long and that they can arrange a replacement car interim.  cry.gif

No, it's not.
Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin I went is the one in Sungai Besi, which has been upgraded to 4S centre just half a year ago.
I purposely chose to go there because it's a 4S centre.
Edit: Besides, the guy that drove my car back to the service centre and his colleague did not wear Proton shirt.
The insurance department guy also said, kita ada dua tempat. Does it mean that there is another Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin that the public are not aware of and have no access to?
Every time i wash my car, I see those bird poop stain, really upset about it.
Anyway, just wish u good luck with your car.

My car was involved in a sandwich accident and I'm in the middle.

Anyone sent their car for body work repair in COSE or Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin?

Any reviews?

I need to claim insurance for front and back bumper and spoiler, bonet and fender.

I also feel my driver seat jerk when I brake or accelerate after the accident.

Hopefully someone can share the process of claiming others' insurance.

Went to Proton Chan Sow Lin 4S centre for insurance claim.

1. Expect to get tons of bird poop stain etched into the paint all over your car, which cannot be wash or polish away.
2. My new rear bumper paint is very very thin and some corners are not painted/paint get peeled off.
3. Expect to get polish light burn mark all over your car due to bawah pokok polish technique.
4. Waiting period is around 1 month for your car to be delivered.
5. My car was driven from outside, the guy that drove my car did not wear proton shirt. I have asked the insurance dept. guy, he claimed they have two service centres, one is there and one is outside. I doubt they do outsourcing.
Good luck.

I guess it is better to buy late afterall. Early 2019 owners didn't get those Goodyear ones.
*
It's randomly allocated.
I am owner of Persona premium 2016. I got Silverstone, some get Goodyear.
Their inconsistency in the tyre brand has been happening for few years until now.

PIONEER HEAD UNIT

I bought one no brand Android head unit from Taobao last two years, still work like a charm.
Only cost me RM700 include installation.
The tips is to get head unit with known processor and enough RAM, mine was using Intel processor and 2GB RAM.

Hi guys

Planning to change tyre since it loss grip badly on wet surface. Even on dry surface can feel the tyre didn't connect well to the road when drive above 100.

Im on thight budget since i saving for my new house. Planning to change 2 donut front first coz this is the crucial donut to cut water. Can anyone recommend me good tyre and tyre shop area seri kembangan? My budget max 130 per piece. I dont mind to extend the shop location till kajang and puchong.

In my list is dunlop d05. Wanna got for goodyear triple max but out of budget sad.gif. I open for opinion and review. Btw anyone here use hankook kinergy ex? Got 1 shop selling 2nd trye with 90% thread at rm70 per piece. That is a steal but i wanna know the review on this donut. Many thx

Front tyre is not crucial to cut water. All tyres are.
New tyres should be placed at the rear. Old tyres at the rear and new tyres at the front will cause fishtail and hydroplane.

Any other option for tpms?
*
Can get those tpms with internal sensor. I believe they cannot steal without taking the tyres off.
E.g. 70mai tpms, not the lite version. I'm using this, safer and looks better.

Hi all,

Recently my Iriz 2015 air-conditioning cooling sensation has been reduced significantly and at times there was a continuously 'shhh' sound.
Hot weather not so cold as it used to be last time.
Went to two workshop.
Gas has been added last month and then problem persist after few weeks thus added 2nd round gas this month (as a temporary fix) but still couldn't find root cause.
No sight of leak at valve according to mechanic.

Do any of you guys have this experience?
Can share your thoughts?
Is it a sign of cooling coil or condenser coming to an end of lifespan? I heard need to remove dashboard if replace cooling coil.
What's the estimated cost of repair or any recommendation of aircond specialist?
Thanks in advance.  smile.gif

Same issue happened to my Persona last month. The condenser was leaking. Changed it. All in cost RM450. Kepong Jensen Air Con.

Hey guys, can i reject or dispute if maintenance service cost is different from Proton website?
*
Before they take your car to service, they will show you things to change and the total cost, right? If you've agreed to that, I don't think you can raise a dispute.

Any suggestion or recommendation either I need to go to

a) Proton or
b) Car service shop or
c) Car aircond shop

for this problem?
My pick will be c, but any suggestion best service car aircond shop in Selayang or Sentul with reasonable price.

Hi all.

I am driving Iriz 1.6 2014.

My car having ride quality issues. It doesn’t seem like it absorbs much especially rough and small bumps. It almost feels like the ride quality is out driving in KL roads. The rear is absolutely horrendous and will lift my passengers from the seats when the car jolts on bumps as if I am using sport springs.

It basically feels like the absorption travel is very short and rides on bump stops instead. It’s very very rough.
I already changed all new absorbers. They are all genuine proton parts with correct part numbers to match 2014 models. I also replaced the springs to new original springs.

But the issues are here to stay and I’m honestly at lost on what else should be done to rectify the really rough ride quality.

My tyres are relatively new, continental ultracontact 7 with 195/55/15 profile. 215kpa on the front and 190kpa on the rear. So tyre and pressure should be no issue.

Before I changed all my absorbers, one workshop took a good look at my rear absorber and said this is persona vvt absorbers and not iriz. He added that my rear bump stop is wrong. So he proceeded to cut some part of my bump stops and to my surprise, it works. The rear end is finally soft and able to rebounce softly. But it only lasted for days before the bad ride quality comes back.

By right, it should be fixed when I changed all mu absorbers, bump stops and even spring but it doesn’t. It is so terrible that I don’t really enjoy driving it. Any thoughts?
*
Not sure if this will affect but did you change the absorber mounting and bush? Recently I changed many things in suspension for my 2016 Persona VVT. The ride and handling is so much better than previously. The things i changed are front and rear absorbers, absorber cover, absorber mounting, bush. I also changed front lower arm, absorber link, stab bush, engine mounting.
