If you can accept a manual car, then the Iriz is the best 2015 manual car with that amount of money you can buy! 😏

1.6 MT is rare since it was limited production run item. Dont forget to check engine oil too. Some guy bought saga vvt and later realized the original owner never serviced the car before for 128k mileage. Engine sounded like a truck.

Yes you can. I heard 1 guy who just got his car 2nd hand and he went to SC to check service records as well as warranty.

saw 2 1.6MT iriz on sale on mudah a few days back, both are under 30k i think.

My 1st year is about RM1200++ , this year they quote me RM900++.

I recently bought one and collected my iriz MC premium 1.6 yesterday. So far there is rattling sound on the dashboard whenever I drive through uneven surface and rattling sound from the third brake light. Well my myvi is plague with the third brake rattling issue so im used to it. The dashboard rattling can be annoying at times. But we all know this is a common issue for the iriz and persona. And the wind noise above 80km/h.

Other than that the car is very nice to drive. Very much nicer than my 1.3 SE Myvi.

Now just need to figure out how to maintain the leather / fake leather seats. I saw some posting that the SC is able to fix the wind noise issue. I wonder what they do to fix the issue?

In respect of the rattling dashboard and third brake light I think I will bear with it. After all we know that its a RM50k plus and cant expect much. I dont wanna risj SC scratching the dashboard or making the rattling sound worse.

In relation to the third brake light for my myvi, perodua SC went and put glue on it and the thing still rattles. I DIY and inserted some sponge here and there to minimize rattling helps a bit.

But for the iriz, I will bear with it la...

Hi Bro, have you changed the speaker already ? Which brand and model you went for ?
I checked with Edifier and according to them, they do not have any speaker model that is plug-and-play with Proton Iriz. All of them need certain level of modification on the door panel that needs to cut open a hole for the speaker.
Is that the case ?

Maybe sifus here can give me some idea which brand and model are PnP with Iriz door panel ?
Look to go for passive component speaker set + active underseat subwoofer.

Any recommendation ?

Haven't got a chance to visit car audio shop.

But as you mentioned, mod is a big no no for me, I only want PnP speakers.

Hi you may opt for clarion speakers. Go on youtube, look for "roda pusing" channel in respect of their persona RQ project. Based on the video, clarion speaker is plug and play

Truly PnP need 6" speaker set. Unfortunately it's unpopular size so rarer to find major brands carry this option. I've seen pioneer to have it but no extensive line ups choice to pick like common 6.5".

Local brand like Mohawk do have one marketed especially for iriz.
But 0.25~0.5" difference is not that much to have to resort to cut a hole... I know as I myself use 6.5", they only use plastic spacer then drill new screws few mm's apart.
