To use PB Debit Card does not need to open account lo.. I call their call center but could not reach the operator. Always busy. Are they hired one operator only? Haih..

well oh ya u can apply ikea debit card....free for life if not mistaken...anything u spend u get point then u can exchange gift

looks like a debit card, but too many things make me dun wan get this card :
1) can overdraw money
2) its not free for life. every 2 years need to renew membership. rm25
3) i dont always shop at ikea
4) their points also expire after 2 years.
5) conclusion - not getting it.

asking me y? coz of the overdraw thing ler. dont wanna owe the bank any money. later overdraw too much. become like credit card d. no money to pay

Does it have annual fee? how much?
Can use it to verify paypal/buy stuff online?

So, its RM30 for every 4 years and its a MasterCard debit card.

yah...its just like a normal credit card. in other threads got such things as verify paypal. n they say can oh. recently wanna book a room in genting using my visa debit card. kenot oh. called up...they say dun receive debit card. just credit card. hahaha

I use PB Visa Electron for number of years now.
Yes, they did take a long time to process the card, I think mine almost 2 month. Another thing about my PB card (I don't know about others) is that I can't use it once the balance dropped under RM 50. I want to use it at petrol station sometimes when I'm just lazy to give my small change but then, yeah...

My mum uses the Cosway Mastercard Debit. She's not complaining but I don't know the part of verifying PayPal with that card since I used my PB Visa Electron to verify it..

Can you explain more about Al Rajhi Visa Debit card? I know that it's RM 15 to apply for one, how about the application time and initial deposit? If there's no annual fee at all, I would like to apply for one as well since nowadays I don't use my PB at all.

Mastercard or Visa? Well, both are widely accepted worldwide so there shouldn't be any problem.

hmm...just walk-in into any al rajhi bank then jz say u wanna open a savings/current account. i forgot whats the minimum coz i deposited a few hundred bucks. hmm...u can get all within a day. i got mine within 30minutes...more or less. but i duno if drop till a minimum how much then cant use. coz my acc still got cash. kinda seldom use unless i dont have cash or the thing is too expensive. lol...

i think they offer some kinda trust fund thingy. and also a debit card service. thats what i read from their site. they do investments also...lol. but they say maybe will be in business in september oh.

Yup, cannot. I asked them before as well.
It's still up to the merchant whether to accept debit cards or not, just like they can choose to accept visa, master, amex or some/all of them.

cause the PB isn't really a full visa card unlike the ambank nexg.
Not all merchants take visa electron.
something like maybankard. mine got visa interlink, but not alot of merchants accept
the ambank nexg IS a mastercard just that its prepaid. (or is suppose to be... i have to find out)
thats one of the reasons i got my NexG.

just my 2 cents which sounds logical enough...
and i think thats why ambank charges more for their nexg card.
