I use PB Visa Electron for number of years now.
Yes, they did take a long time to process the card, I think mine almost 2 month. Another thing about my PB card (I don't know about others) is that I can't use it once the balance dropped under RM 50. I want to use it at petrol station sometimes when I'm just lazy to give my small change but then, yeah... hmm.gif

My mum uses the Cosway Mastercard Debit. She's not complaining but I don't know the part of verifying PayPal with that card since I used my PB Visa Electron to verify it..

Can you explain more about Al Rajhi Visa Debit card? I know that it's RM 15 to apply for one, how about the application time and initial deposit? If there's no annual fee at all, I would like to apply for one as well since nowadays I don't use my PB at all.

Mastercard or Visa? Well, both are widely accepted worldwide so there shouldn't be any problem.

cannot ?
thats weird.. thought it should operate like a normal credit card ?
i wonder if ambank nexg can do installment payment

Yup, cannot. I asked them before as well.
It's still up to the merchant whether to accept debit cards or not, just like they can choose to accept visa, master, amex or some/all of them.

Genting doesn't accept any debit card in general. That's what I asked them. Don't know if they already changed their policy or not. laugh.gif

Other debit cards around are UOB debit cards, EON Bank Impian and Alliance Bank Payment Cards/International Debit Card. ATM cards that can become debit cards are Al Rajhi, Alliance Bank Islamic Acconts and BSN Matrix. They are either MasterCard or Visa Electron. That's a lot of options (might be more)...i guess we need to come out with a comparison chart laugh.gif

Prepaid or debit cards are still a new concept to many local merchants. Sometimes, you just got to insist them to swipe it. I use my PB Electron online, at Kinokuniya and petrol stations (when the balance still more than 50), without any problems. I also saw one guy use it at Cash Converter. The cashier reluctant but the fella ask her to swipe it first laugh.gif
