Few hours using, got a few noticable UI bug but overall experience quite okay. But one thing is that it will auto quit when there is a network problem. Eg: Halfway watching on demand content, suddenly no network/ slow network, an error will pop up saying no internet and it will kick you straight back to live tv. Should have a retry button. Scrolling is a bit slow also, should increase scrolling speed when user long press up/ down button.

I think it’d be better to just stick with one or two companies. Wonder why, because all those boxes still have the same purpose and function. Only difference being the manufacturer.

I think they should just stick to Samsung or Technicolor. Kaonmeida seems to be good at Android TV boxes and I think StarHub is also using them too.

The STB operating mode of Satellite (self-install) could indicate that Astro might planning to implement an alternative installation option in the future to allow the user like ourselves, to install Astro box by ourselves instead of rely on Astro installer/technicians?
Hah, they learnt the hard lesson last year during MCO 1.0, where no technical visits is allowed at all for few consecutive months, and customer that faces technical issues tend to suffer, is it? 

While IPTV Multicast (For installer only) refers to Astro IPTV service, where this option can't be self-installed on our own due to obvious technical reasons (Technician need to make sure the VLAN Tagging for Linear TV is up, Multicast up, IGMP Joint Test shows "Pass", which requires some skill set and not everyone knows that...)

But.... If it is self install, and does not rely on technicians.... Then how are we going to get the Astro box in the first place?
I guess is, self-collect from nearest Astro service centre, or Astro will deliver the Astro set-top-box to our doorsteps through parcel delivery?
If Astro box would to be delivered as parcel to our doorstep in near future, and then we self-install the Astro box....     Hmmmm, interesting

Btw yongtjunkit, since you finally got this software update of Jan 18 2021 (Sprint release 20.3.1.75), that means you can now utilise their "so-called" Live Pause and Hide from Continue Watching feature.

I'm using Xiaomi mitv2 and just got my Astro Ultra Box.

My TV can't seem to play UHD channels despite my TV being advertised as 4k ready.

Anyone seem to have the same issue or has overcome this issue?

I don't think so. It seems to me that Astro's in-house channels are generally "loved" by many. 
They want to make it easier for viewers to tune to the corresponding HD channel number, rather than straightaway contact customer service for answers, which I think they should have done that long ago.

Well I did contact astro regarding changing the remote control. I told them that I might suspect the liquid from the battery might have spill inside the remote board. He then asked me whether I did try to put a different battery or not and I told him yea and it was working. Then he ask me to bring the remote to the service centre which is at Damansara UPtown if the remote stops working. He said they will check and will change it for free if it is not customer fault. Then I casually ask him how much does the ultra box remote cost and its RM 79.90 🙄. So guys becareful when using the remote. Try to avoid dropping it too often. Unless you OK using the cheap DIY remote controls. BTW should I get the Panasonic evolta battery? I suspect either it has to do with energizer durability or the remote control board issue.
