Duration=can use 1.5 days =N82 battery last as long as N73 Senario B-play games, watch a bit of movie, play a bit of music, a bit of wifi, lots of call (but short cal average around 3 to 5 minutes and playing GPS-2 to 3 hours =N82-take out from charging at 8am and battery dies at 4pm the same day..... Conclusion=Use in car charger when using GPS in the car... I am fedup with Nokia Maps cause i only manage to use 1 time before have to purchase it......damn when i download the rates...was so shock...it's damn expensive leh...... Apart from your problems what can be fixed via firmware, stuck pixel (dead pixel is totally black and won't display colour, and hot pixel is always at blue/red/green) often not considered a defect on LCD screen and it's very common problem due to the difficulties during manufacturing. There might be policies from Nokia regarding the dead pixel/hot pixel/stuck pixel, but if don't have then you can somehow claim warranty for a new set because so many problems you can just claim all of them in a whole.I see some pictures display in full color but some are not..why like this? another problem, my web browser seem do not support cookies, even i enabled it...><" tried to login to lowyat.net using my web browser but when click next page will log me out...><" and last problem, I found a dead pixell on my screen..when display all black picture, it don't show the black color...it's a white dot...anyone know whether if i can claim for warranty for that? When this kind of thing happen, it really bug the hell out of me if I was you. Anyway I found there's hot green pixel in my CMOS camera sensor, when taking night mode picture there's always a bright green dot at the upper left corner, very obvious if that part is dark colour. I can live with that though cause virtually any digital camera will develope 1 or more over months of usage. |

hey interested in this phone alot... dilemma of getting w960i or n82....
w960i is cheaper, touchscreen that's all.... (i think batt last longer, and i like SE than Nokia actually...) n82 has so much pros against w960i.... better cam, better recording, gps, ngage but but i have few question about it, hope expert out there can answer my questions. Can this n82, receive file thru bt without going into inbox? it's the lousiest thing of nokia phone which keep every received file into inbox unlike SE which able to identify the file type and auto goes into the right folder. What's the batt life? listening music in flight mode last how long? and if the phone seldom been used, can last 3 days? wat's the lastest AP set price for this phone? P.S: battery last longer on SE phone cuz: 1. smaller screen (average 2in) with 2XXk color compare to nokia that mostly use 16M color and larger screen. 2. flight mode in SE deactivate completely other functions except Walkman, thus saving a lot of power. on the other hand, nokia offline mode only deactivate SIM but ALL functions accessible except CALL |

Hmm........ although the N82 has Xenon Flash , the photo processing quality for night shots still have a lot of noises, same with n95 and other nseries,
perhaps reducing the ISO could help smooth out the pictures? |

Got a strange issue with my 82. Last night the screen got all corrupted while the phone was in standby. When I took out the memory card it was ok again. This morning it's ok so far. Want to take it for warranty (hopefully can get a swap since I bought it yesterday) but the symptoms are gone this morning! What's going on?

But flight mode in SE mode (for newer and higher end phone) it able to have full function except wifi, bt and gsm juz like Nokia... ^^ 2. all files received put into mailbox. use 3rd party file browser to sort it up 3. music mode in offline mode can last 12-13 hrs. 3 days under light usage should be achievable but i highly doubt that u will use it lightly. I guess i'll get a spare batt if i have got myself this n82.... wat's the cons of the phone? |
