hey thx for ur answer. But flight mode in SE mode (for newer and higher end phone) it able to have full function except wifi, bt and gsm juz like Nokia... ^^

Ermm.... i guess the 3rd party file browser solved the problem... though i like touchscreen more but the camera and recording in n82 juz too tempting.... I guess i'll get a spare batt if i have got myself this n82....  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

wat's the cons of the phone?
*
For me, touchscreen is very minor feature, you'll need the camera most of the time so it's the very first thing to consider, especially the video recording. nod.gif

However, for the battery, SE should be able to endure longer. But AFAIK if WiFi and GPS never used, N82 should be able to last from morning to night with heavy usage of like camera and video/music playback. I think even SE will be able to endure slight longer but probably won't withstand heavy usage more than a day from wakt up to sleep. nod.gif

Wow...very nicely taken pics.  thumbup.gif  To my layman eyes, these pics are are good as if taken from a dedicated digital camera despite N82 being a camera phone!! whistling.gif

Guys, how come in www.nokia.com.my still no n82?

Is it available in Nokia Stores? example midvalley?

Actually ive been eyeing N95 since the beginning. more than a year ago. then N95 8GB. I am interested in its feature but not slider phone. then N95 8GB has no lense cover.

Since i known of N82, thats my target phone. gonna get it in January. The benefit would be, it has all the previous features of N95, so all the bugs in the firmware is gone. U just buy and it is at optimum performance. Not so much to need to wait for firmware updates. Just need to find application to suite your taste. mapping that sort of thing.

I prefer candybar over slider or flip anyday. got lense cover somemore. Got xenon flash. all the weaknesses of N95-1 &-2 is taken care of. the only downside is maybe the screen is small. but hey, if i wanna watch any foreign language video that needs me to read the subtitle, i can use my tv or PC anyway.

Aiseyman, just talking about it makes me drool.... drool.gif cant wait till january.

thanks for the photos. there are wonderfull. Close up or macro is very nice. all the details are crisp. even under low exposure (early morning) the picture is nice.

Go N82 rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

AFAIK, the information displayed (speed height etc etc) on the TV during flight is generated by GPS...I could be wrong though.

However, seems like using the GPS on plane won't quite harm the main system on the plane, but for some airlines it's illegal to use. Not sure if MAS and Air Asia allow...So, better don't lo... tongue.gif

Fro close up picture I use Macro (Closed Up mode) in Nokia, night shot use night mode, and far away view use landscape then the rest no adjust cause with the mode it'll have auto white balance already and auto ISO ajustment. ^^ believe me this camera is damn nice ^^

i will go to toilet to use the GPS....smile.gif
they do not even allowed "FLIGHT MODE" phone to be switch on so i do not think MALAYSIANs airlines flight stewards will allowed any phone to be switched on.......They have a stone aged brains, do not even know handphone nowadays have Flight Mode.
but they do not mind PDA to be switch on, they might think that it's just a PDA and do not have calling function.......really idiots.

Very good experiment with N95 8GB and N82. thumbup.gif

Actually it is also supposed to give better picture than k850i. becoz N82 flash is in the middle. "Balanced Exposure".

Do video mode have lighting? flash? Anyone tried night mode video yet?

The black one is nice... hope is available january in malaysia... hmm.gif

for video you will need external lighting/spot light, even expensive video be it DVD/cassete use external spot light.....built in flash is for pictures only.

Yes it's sad that N95 8GB still not yet put in xenon flash yet. sweat.gif

However, N95 8GB can take picture as bright as the N82 with night mode + flash, but cannot compete with the sharpness, night mode has no detail at all but thanks to the 5MP, as a casual shot it's still OK cause after resize it looks decent. nod.gif I rarely need the xenon flash but it's really sad when I ever needed it cry.gif cause more probably it's during wedding dinner or night party or karaoke'ing or even go to mamak...

OTOH, quite a few times I was in the dark and I really glad the flash did a good job to serve as a torch and finding stuffs in the dark by simply doing auto focus then the led will switch on for a while.

I've answered your question a page back or 2. wink.gif

By the way I also wanted to add that if you failed to claim the warranty, you can always try the "PSP hot pixel fix" video, which is just constant switching between green/blue/red and I think white and black too, which kinda clear up the signal that sesak at the particular pixel. I don't have it but I think it's everywhere on the net. nod.gif
