QUOTE(sjneow @ Apr 2 2018, 05:31 PM)
it means the longer you stay with the plan, the lower penalty you need to pay when terminating within contract period.

for example this is a two years contract. If you terminate at the one year mark, you only need to pay half of RM499. That is how it is normally counted.
*
So the max penalty is RM499 & it can be reduced by length of subscribe period.

Thanks man~

i've done terminate my celcom wireless today.

so conclusion, just give them a reason to terminate. and then by end of the month, they will send out letter to our billing address for the final price 499+gst (maybe) + (stamp cost).

so about the warranty, i had ask blue cube, customer service (1111) and home wirelesss careline (1300113282)

they give different answer, but i think the most reliable is from home wireless careline.
cc said once terminate contract, no more device warranty.
but wireless careline said, if terminate contract, still got the leftoever warranty until 1 year. just bring the necessary receipt to huawei center (eg, amcorp mall).

currently no cooling period for re-apply. once terminate, settle previous penalty, then can apply new.

Seems like I can do this
1) Sub today
2) Tomorrow terminate
3) Sub on 3rd day
4) Terminate on 4th day

keep on going like this, you can earn from the sales of the modem already LOL biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Buy modem RM500
Sell it RM900, sure there are people that want it.
Profit RM400/unit.

Easy RM4k if repeat this 10 times. + using other family member's name + IC.

I'm pretty sure their patch is coming. They won't survive long with this TnC.

So, we can keep the modem with no extra cost after paying the RM499 penalty?

The Blue Cube guy in Kuching told me I need to return the modem even if I pay the RM499 penalty.
He said the modem is loan basis. RM499 is penalty for contract, not the modem.

He showed me a screenshot on his phone with RM1200 as the price of the modem.

I don't really trust his info because what he told me isn't stated in the TnC. Moreover I'm the first person to subscribe to this plan from that particular Blue Cube outlet. Might be the first in Kuching too, haha. biggrin.gif

Also, he told me I need to return the modem even after I finished the 2 years contract which is a bit unbelievable, haha.
Actually I don't mind keeping the 2 years contract (in order to get the modem without a penalty), it's not a bad plan compared to Digi Broadband 60 that I had. However in 2 years the TnC might change, maybe for better or worse.

Yeah, I will terminate at another branch.

Yup, that's what I will do.
Most importantly show the part "No, you can keep the modem after you pay the penalty."

Digi's modem is not on the same league.

For those who are interested to sign up for the new UniFi Wireless Broadband service, you have to purchase the Huawei 4G B618 WiFi Router from TM as well. That being said, the company is offering it at RM599 which is much lower than the market price (a quick check shows the prices range from RM1300 to RM1500).

soon B618 market price will drop to RM 800 +-

Maybe he himself wants the modem for free. So this is his tactic to get it for free.

Live smart, take advantages.
