Most of the retailer their pos system doesn't built in wechat pay and boost. My pos system running Windows 10, so need change pos system to support e wallet? This is the problem I facing.
If register wechat pay, merchant need paid 1% transaction and buy a new pos system, that is new invest for merchant.

If your transaction quanty is large in volume, than it would be considered a worthy investment.

On Boost's thread, someone mentioned that Mydin started accepting Wechat Pay alongside Boost.

The nearest Mydin I could find is at Pasar Seni, will go there and confirm whether if they accept Wechat Pay or not soon, but most likely I'm gonna pay with Boost lol.

If I'm not wrong, the first e wallet that Mydin accepted is Vcash, and then now Boost. If there's also Wechat Pay, then at least Mydin has something to boast about cuz they accept few e wallets lol.

good that if Mydin accepts WeChat, but me too don't go Mydin, only once when they first launched.

what kind of strategy is Wechat pay playing actually.. so secretive and let us to discover merchant one by one..

Exactly! Should openly announce and advertise for everyone to see and know. Don't know what kinda marketing ploy they are using

Yaloh, why not just make public announcements via their official account?

Someone shared this on Boost thread...

Mydin seems to be the first one that's going all in to cashless payments.

Wonder how many terminals they need in order to support all these published payment options.

When it was first made available in KK mart, only KK mart themselves were promoting it lol, Wechat did nothing at all.

I think the e wallets are implemented into their POS system, at least that's what they showed during the launch of partnership with Boost, they used the scanner to scan the code from customer.

That is superb! We need more advertising and awareness from the supporting retailers similar to this. Thank you for posting and sharing that, Bro! 👍👍✌

I notice that most of the scanners used by merchants in the 50% CB promo have MPAY logo on it.

Usually, when the logo is in english, then that should mean that it's the my version.

At least that's how it is usually.

You mean the terminal? Yes, you're right, the terminal is provided by Mpay.

But what I meant was the POS system, with everything linked in the computer and a barcode scanner.

From the flyer of the wechat Pay acquirer, if using merchant POS terminal to scan your QR/barcode on mobile, it seem like it can accept both Malaysia and China wallet from what I can see...coz from the flyer show that they provide cross-border transaction as well...

If the other way round, use mobile to scan the merchant QR code, which Malaysia wallet still don't activate the feature yet, so temporary do not need to worry about...I guess they are still try to figure out how to implement...because this will be quite confuse the user if did not do it correctly.
