The charges is abit expensive, a WeChat Official Account is required to accept WeChat Pay.

i don't think it is the official channel to apply. the name itself sounds weird and the url shows that it is not under wechat.
there are just too much unofficial things going on, the worst is in facebook. until official announcement is made, better just sit down and wait.

So any business can register for it now? Is there particular company handle this or we can do it online ourselves?

you can contact them https://revenuemonster.my/wechatpay
I think all type of business could register from them, because they are the only official & authorised merchant acquirer for WeChat Pay (MYR Wallet) in Malaysia.

Biggest problems is Wechat required US$5k for release fund otherwise got fees.
Also not easy for Malaysians merchants to apply Wechat Cross-border payment since their website application was so lacking info and helps.

Don't forget that Wechat CS teams was quite helpless, I've report twice but they was helpless... so...
For those still didn't get MYR wallet, can go activate Wallet beside contact CS support button there.

Wechat Pay Malaysia also has the problem when you gonna register as merchant. When you want register as merchant, you need submit your sale report.
Like how much your sale per month, minimum how much your customer spend. Why they need this? Boost no need this to register.
I think Wechat Pay Malaysia still cant fight with Boost now, Boost is more function and useful.

From Nanyang Siang Pau then we know, if you want become a merchant, you still need to register a Wechat Official account and pay Rm300 per year. All transaction will be charge 1% if you are wechat pay merchant.
How you all think about this? If you are retailer, will you register as wechat pay merchant?

Boost has no any charge until 31 December 2018.

It's normal to have charge for merchants, but this is too much for the small merchants.

If they don't change their strategy, I doubt they can have a stable base here.

Yes, if small merchants can't accept this. I, don't know how they do big in Malaysia.

Most of the retailer their pos system doesn't built in wechat pay and boost. My pos system running Windows 10, so need change pos system to support e wallet? This is the problem I facing.
If register wechat pay, merchant need paid 1% transaction and buy a new pos system, that is new invest for merchant.
