China wallet only to make payment for purchases in china. Cannot be used in Malaysia. Same goes for Malaysia wallet, only to be used locally.

You are right. There isn't any available in Malaysia yet. Wait for the official launch before merchant start accepting them.

This is even better news and support as even the local banks are playing a hand in having Wechat Pay accepted locally. Will definitely pick up momentum after official launch.

Yes, I believe they were too quick and jumped the gun in their haste to reply you which gave it all away that the Boost app is an alternate method of payment, regardless the cash back promotion or not.
