How accurate are these rumors? In the middle of building my PC, all I left is the GPU now.

There is high possibility new gen are more expensive. Each gen price are increasing, worse there's no immediate threat/challenge from AMD, nVidia can charge higher.

New GPU will be expensive... Now it's really a good time to buy. GTX 1080 ti amp extreme only cost RM3.4k

Dont think new GPU will cost that low and there might be bottleneck with my current CPU.

But the 1080ti will drop lower. Yah they might be bottleneck, but a speed bump will still be a speed bump even with bottleneck.

but the one which is cheaper GTX 1060 6GB because performance gap is not significantly big margin on branding. AFAIK ASUS is way pricier in which doesn't serve much purpose. I end up going with MSi.

currently the price difference for zotac amp vs asus dual o6g is about 30 bucks

i do know the performance gap is not significant, and I am not planning to OC

my main concern here is how well the cooler on both gpu work as my room ambient temp is quite high

if is mere rm 30 gap, go with ASUS then.

Maybe at least rm500 reading lepo's experience? Do you OC your i5-4690k? Bottleneck shouldn't be that bad at UW1440p eh...

Going to overclock it next week. I know it won't bottleneck that much on Ultrawide 1440p but I still will go for Zotac 1080 ti Amp Extreme since it's price at RM3.4k now. Doubt Asus will drop that much.
