Seriously, those that cannot wait can really grab them now. Price for a new 1080ti had never been cheaper. Sub 3k for 1080ti never happened before.

How accurate are these rumors? In the middle of building my PC, all I left is the GPU now.

Just got a RTX 3070, decided to stay with it until I upgrade my monitor to WQHD. Just a quick question, will a Bronze FSP 600W able to power 3080? I’m talking about no overclock nothing.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Nov 16 2020, 01:49 PM) It might work. Not recommended though. According to PCPartPicker, the total wattage is 479W with 3080. Not sure how accurate it is.[attachmentid=10686546] https://www.nvidia.com/en-my/geforce/graphi...eries/rtx-3070/ |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Nov 16 2020, 03:47 PM) no no no…that's the standard for the cable. Understand now, very technical breakdown! Perhaps I’ll change my PSU when the time comes just to be safe.max load of the particular cable can take. no manufacturer will design to draw max current from the cable la. for the 3080 which has 2x (6+2) pin so pcie+(6+2)+(6+2)=75+150+150=375watt if nvidia official website indicate the tdp of 3080 = 320watt so it draws about 85% from the maximum the cable can sustain. if the 3080 has 3x (6+2) pin…it's mostly designed for overclock purpose. so pcie+(6+2)+(6+2)+(6+2)=75+150+150+150=525watt if draw 85% power from it…it around 446watt…the number that u mentioned 479watt is possible when factor in transient too. |
