doea it affect us? I thought it was only for items imported into USA

Electronic components could not be from USA. TSMC fab is in Taiwan.

Isn't it always cheaper to buy from somewhere else rather than our country.. too high the markup.

You can check out the Taiwan price list here: http://www.coolpc.com.tw/evaluate.php
GPU price isn't that much cheaper compared to Malaysia, or actually more expensive.

Maybe they only manufacture the GPU chip, but the rest of the assembly is in China?

There will be games this year itself that will use DLSS and RT.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have DLSS and RT next month or so. BF5 will also have it on launch (which is why they delay the launch in the first place).

Will wait for the 2070 to drop before deciding on whether to upgrade to 1080ti (depends on the price drop) from my current 1070, seems like the 2080s didn't affect the pricing of the 10 series much so far

I've been avoiding Asus for a very long time since they start marking up prices. All of us paying for the brand. I heard their GPU warranty is very good.

Thanks though

their strix/poseidon had cherry picked gpu..

they all do 2.1ghz easy. strix cooling was insane and quiet.

other brands other than msi lightning.. none can boast the same.. so....

Yes. That is good. I dont OC my stuffs for normal use when warranty is intact though. My current regular GTX 1080 has yet to bump into performance issues for 1080p. Overkill.

I'm not in the rush getting 1080 Ti.
