Has anyone gone from Maxis to a lower priced Hotlink Postpaid plan and kept their number before?
I am on an old Maxis Talk & Surf Principal 1 package at RM 38 and wish to switch to Hotlink Postpaid 30.
I contacted Maxis via Whatsapp and they told me I cannot because the plan is only for new registration, port in or conversion from Hotlink Prepaid plan.
Thanks

Thanks Probably easier to port out and port back in. When they do these kind of things, it will likely have higher customer churn. Those who port out may not even port back in after seeing how much value other telcos is providing for the similar price points. Am saying this...from ex-M customer.

Thanks I suppose it is the same as going from higher Maxis postpaid to Hotlink postpaid. There are 2 ways to go about this. 1. Call 123, ask to change to Hotlink prepaid. After successful downgrade to prepaid then you convert it to Hotlink postpaid. 2. Port out to other telco prepaid and port back into Hotlink postpaid.

Hi all sifus, please help me analyze my situation ? I am currently on the old Hotlink Postpaid 40 plan and got a call from CS about upgrading to the new 45 plan, and I have some questions which I didn't manage to ask the CS..
1) Currently the monthly data availability is 30GB (Postpaid 40 base plan), 15GB (Loyalty bonus) and 5GB (free bonus). Would the bonuses be still available if I upgrade to new 45 plan ?
2) I noticed the new 45 plan is 30gb (4g/5g) + 30gb (5g), does that mean if somehow i finished the 30gb (4g/5g) balance and there is no 5g coverage, i can no longer have internet ?

The bonuses will be forfeited as upgrades plan from Postpaid 40 to 45 considered as upgrade to new plans. But you will get it after 6 months staying with Hotlinks. 2. If there is no 5G coverage. You will receive the quota finish notification from Hotlink. Meaning if you have zero quota available on the 4G/5G you no longer can access internet until you get connect to 5G and utilise the 5G quota.

maxis keep asking me to submit application for 5xRM45 pastpaid (with RM 01 rebate, become RM35). each line carrys 60GB data which is really good.
compared to CD, its RM 40 with 60GB data, like u said, after 6 months, port out if no further rebate. is this ok?

If your objective is to find something cheaper, port out to Yes or Umobile. Otherwise can also choose to stay on, usually after 12 months will have loyalty bonus. Definitely ok, in fact Umobile postpaid 38 has more data than CD.

Maxis further increase the rebate from 6 months to 12 months. so its 30+30 GB for RM 35 (instead of RM 45) for 12 months/line and I sign up 5 lines.

Yes, contract fre. Idk about minimum period, but I think 30 days should suffice for postpaid.
