yup, but to most ppl, 5gb is more than sufficient. in fact, most ppl prefer cheaper monthly commitment for telco bill than any other things.

Just to check, does hotlink flex has the same issues As below? Now I am planning to switch to hotlink flex from my hotlink prepaid. So I am very concern about the below issues since I travel in and out lion city daily. thanks.

1) On hotlink prepaid, if u go to overseas for example lion city.

You turn off mobile data or data roaming, there will still be a constant data roaming charge if u are on 4G network. according to what u know, the charge is due to the 'handshaking' between the mobile phone and the 4G network even you are not using any data at all since mobile data and data roaming have already been disabled.

Only resolution to this is to manually set your phone to 3G/2G network only, then it will not incur such charges.

For iPhones, this is confirm the case, not sure about other phones.

2) when I was on maxis postpaid plan last time, similar to above, even my mobile data and data roaming are off, I still can get rm38 charge daily whenever I went in to lion city.

The rm38 charge daily is due to the roaming pass called "xxxx world" automatically. All this is auto, no way for me to stop it.

only until I made many complaints to maxis then the customer service on their Facebook page added me to this thing called a "whitelist" which is a list to have the users who do not want this automatic activation of roaming pass rm38.

I think for postpaid normally they will pro-rate the bill for port-out.

what is the reason for u guys to sign hotlink postpaid while hotlink prepaid has the same price and exactly the same thing (data and calls etc..)

e.g. the rm60 hotlink prepaid pantas pass that can use the data in lion city for free is the same as the current hotlink postpaid rm70 plan (with discount of rm10 if sign up new but only for 6 months i think) and need to pay 6% SST somemore...
