But now it shows 94 GB because they removed my Hotlink Postpaid Loyalty Free 15GB (which i also habis guna @ 0GB/15GB) I wonder that 15GB will come back or not since now it is 30GB ? I'm using old plan Hotlink Postpaid 40 which i reject to upgrade to new one HP45. So my pool now consist of 1) Hotlink Postpaid 40 - 4GB YouTube 2) Hotlink Postpaid 40 - 30GB 3) HP Loyalty Free 30GB (4G/5G) 4) HP Loyalty Free 30GB (5G) 5) Hotlink Postpaid Loyalty Free 15GB <--- this one disappear 6) monthly claim 5GB |

Today I'm gonna port out temporary and port back to Hotlink Postpaid 60 with rm20 discount for east Malaysia. I feel it is more worth it for paying the same rm40 but with more data.

QUOTE(vkashin @ Aug 2 2024, 10:40 AM) this is interesting. how long does the RM20 rebate last? can't seem to find it in the SSTC, or maybe i missed it For as long as you do maintain the same plan and not taking any device with your line. I confirm this with Maxis centre staff, but he said cannot change my existing plan to east malaysia offer, hence I decided to port out and port in after few days. Now in the process of waiting SMS confirmation to port out. This post has been edited by YoungMan: Aug 2 2024, 02:57 PM |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Aug 2 2024, 02:53 PM) Until 31st Aug 2024. Refer the SSTC here https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditi...-east-malaysia/ ya this is the SSTC i found.my interpretation is that the sign up period is until 31st August, but my question is regarding the duration of the RM20 bill rebate, is it perpetual or until end of offer period only? edit: i just visited a nearby maxis dealer. turns out it's promised to be permanent RM20 rebate This post has been edited by vkashin: Aug 4 2024, 08:26 PM |

I suppose this rebate should be forever as long as I don't change plan. Do check your latest bill as you might be overcharged by hotlink.![]() I just received my latest bill and without additional usage, my monthly bill came to RM42.55 (vs RM42.40 under Postpaid 40). Upon further investigation, here is the findings (at least for my accounts) - The switch happened on Aug 16, and my statement date is on the 17th. So Aug billing (31 days) is prorated - For July 17,2024 0 Aug 15, it is billed under the old plan 30/31 * RM40 = RM38.71 (RM1.29/day) - For Aug16, it is billed under the new plan 1/31 * RM45 = RM1.45 (RM1.29/day) - Total become RM38.71 + RM1.45 = RM40.16 (or RM42.57 after tax, round down to RM42.55) I called customer service to point out the error in their billing calculation as the transition from postpaid 40 to postpaid 45 should be transparent to postpaid 40 customers, and customer shouldn't be paying even a single cent extra. After additional checking, the customer service agent mentioned that the switch over happened on Aug 16, butt he RM5/month rebate only start on next billing cycle, so user need to pay the new rate (prorated) between Aug 16 to their next billing cycle. I'm not sure if everyone's statement date is on the 17th, and if the switchover to the new plan happened on Aug 16, and the gap between old plan and new plan with RM5 rebate is only 1 day like my case. Anyway - the extra charge is removed (CS use the term waived, I told CS it shouldn't be called waiver, it should be rectification of the bill) for my accounts. I then asked the customer service agent what is Maxis going to do with the additional RM0.15/day charges for all impacted postpaid 40 customers - she just mentioned maxis will waive the extra charge IF AND ONLY IF customer call them to rectify their bill. So check your bill and call customer service to have your bill "rectified" if you are having the same issue! |
