Maybe wait for X, if they really come out with a working and awesomely designed bendable screen smartphone, it's gonna change the face of the industry!
I already skip S8 and Note 8 lah.... already sien.
If samsung keep the tradition.. means we already know mostly what coming for Note 9. Similar design, with elusive upgrade features.. glad that more likely money saved for keeping Note 8 this year and wait for Note 10.. unless samsung has a surprise for Note 9..

note 9 will most probably have the on-screen fingerprint scanner
note 9 will most probably have the on-screen fingerprint scanner
then that will be great , have finger print in front , can use face reg, the note8 fingerprint position is odd but for sometime u will get used it , but if in front of screen will be nicer
note 9 will most probably have the on-screen fingerprint scanner
Great.. hopefully not just fingerprint, but front camera and sensors embedded under the display so will get the real full screen bezelless display.. since samsung has been mocking the iphone x screen.. then they better show how to do it correctly.. lol
I dont think on screen fingerprint scanner will gain much popularity without sacrificing display quality. Actually I havent used my fingerprint scanner at all for 2weeks after my finger start peeling skin. It still couldnt read properly. Been using Iris scanner and it seem to works even better nowadays.
I also been using bixby to unlock the phone. What I didnt like about bixby voice unlock is that it still try to use recognition which is not necessary. Why cant they make it so it will verify the particular short burst of voice and match the tone/pitch instead. I have been using bixby quite often ever since I discovered that it can even set off my samsung robot vacuum with just voice command. If only Samsung had the same thing for their tv and aircon (Im already using their triangle ac).
Anyone managed to find any video on speaker comparison between S8 and S9?

Combination of both fingerprint and iris scanner is useful to me.. iris scanner unlock is useful when i'm using glove (i'm working in lab). But it is not practical when in dark and driving. So fingerprint to be used. So at least for me its a bliss to have both.. Haven't really use Bixby voice unlock because if i reach out for the bixby button i might as well just tap the fingerprint scanner.. and also i just still feel awkward to talk to a phone

i dont think on screen fingerprint scanner will sacrifice the display quality because the sensor sits under the display. Watch mkbhd for better understanding. Bixby password can be tricked if someone record your voice they can unlock it using bixby.

Well, I find that iris scanner works in the dark as well. However I find that it works better if you swipe up and get the 2 circles.
As for Bixby unlock, all you need is hi Bixby and then your voice password to unlock.

That's why I propose using tonal verification instead or voice recognition which is what Samsung implement now.

Not yet at this moment. But based on some youtubers first impression, mkbhd said the improvement is not that significant, only louder a bit. While the others such as Android authority said it's quite loud, a lot louder.
So I guess it's all based on personal perception afterall.
