You need to ensure that your phone is roaming enabled in order receive OTP or SMS.

Weeks ago I was facing this question as well.

Now I’m at oversea and I have tried just to get sms for OTP and it’s work.

No roaming on is necessary, what need to do is just change back your MY SIM card (if you have change local sim)
Secondly, go to Cellular under cellular data, and you off it too.

Wait for a while, local telco name will be appear and you are safe to do any transaction and OTP will send to your phone.

Make sure all the way roaming is off

Nope. Roaming is needed, if no roaming you won't receive SMS at all. You should see "R" beside your signal bar. Data roaming can be turned off though. Roaming is not just data roaming.

I have no issue receiving SMS whenever I'm in overseas (sometimes up to months), so don't worry about it at all. Just ensure roaming is activated before you leave the country. pacatbesar

Hmm... such way is work for me, because before I onboard I went to Digi centre and seek for their advice how to received sms without using data.

They advice me such way and it’s work as I changed MY SIM card to do something.
So far no issued to received SMS/OTP hmm.gif

I didn’t see any “R” beside my signal bar but only local telco name is appear from “no service” after 1 min I guess

Roaming must turn on from digi side, what u mean is phone data roaming, that one can be off, to receive call and SMS, data is not needed

ROAMING won't cost you anything. It make sure your phone function properly (able to receive/send sms, call and use data)

But remember DO NOT ever turn on DATA 3G/4G and receive call. Then you should be save from bill shock.

Unless your line(telco) come with roaming date package/call.

Roaming must be turned on. If not, you can't even see local telco, that's the meaning of roaming. Connected to local telco with your home SIM. What you meant was data roaming which can be turned off.

Thanks for your sharing !! smile.gif

Now is much more clear about this, just checked my setting in Digi apps, I guess the roaming turn on should be referring this right.

Sorry for OT

yes, this one must ON, without international roaming you won't able to receive SMS
