Got my august uob one estatement, requesting waive annual fee and sst through email. Waiting for their reply. Is it faster if I call their center?

I emailed to uob about waiving AF and sst, but only acknowledge that they received the email,but I have not received a call. I don't want to Call their center need to pay phone call rate. Do you guys get call from customer service about AF and sst?
