Few months back i've the same concept that it is based on posted date, but, i didnt get cashback and was told that their system is calculated based on transaction date and not posting date. So, they manually credited the cashback to me after i argue with them on TnC mentioned must be posted, so, need to based on posting date. But, the CS reminded me that in future, just remember that EVOL is based on transaction date and not posting date. I told them to update their TnC to mentioned that, but, CS said it will take time to update TnC..

better done all transaction 5 day before calendar month ending, less headache

yet eligible txn will still be in limbo cuz if based on txn date (unposted), they still didnt grant cb to MGM

not just tnc need to change, their cb logic also need to take care of cross-month posting.

just gotta pick 1 side like One card.

My classic One card last month also has this 16th May 2025 dining spending but does not reflect the cash back into 18th May 2025 statement date
(It included in 18th May 2025 statement total spending but Cash Back does not)
* The dining spent does not even show 0.2% under my dining category.

Hopefully it will appear under my upcoming 18th June 2025 statement as i also stupid did not achieve the RM500 min spending on 18th May 2025 cycle XD
*
I would suggest you dont hope for ideal situation. I am 90% sure it is in the t&c that transaction on the posting date not eligible for cashback. You make sure you achieve the 500 min spend from 19 may posting date onwards and posted before 18 june. Next month is min spend 800. Enjoy while last.

sharing story of AF waiver for world card.

charged for AF. request for waiver. initially get 50%, then just request if able to waive 100%, then she ask manager, then she said can with bt 0% for 12month.

straight away grab offer. BT was fix term, not reduce balance.

My experience is the same although it is for uob 1 classic card.

Good also to have a guideline but not sure if it will strictly follow like MBB and CIMB.

Let's see how strictly they enforce it. I definitely won't be spending 50k each for my VI and PME.

OK same condition for EVOL AF waiver: Annual fee waiver upon 1X retail transaction per statement month.

So now One Platinum gives 12x60 / 20000 =3.6% cf One Classic 12x40/15000=3.2%.

well, i prefer they do like this
1. at least we know and continue to use the card rather than leave it idle. If you idle and seldom use, then this card not for you. Probably abuse for lounge access . They are consider one of the best bank which don't force you to use 1k within 30 days before/after 30 days to access lounge. Most likely they going to enforce spending if use lounge (next time,)
*aeon bank - rm500
* pbb bank - rm1000
* hlb - free
* hsbc - free.
* ambank - free (MAS)
* rhb - spend 500 previous month before travel month. A bit difficult as force people must use previous month.
2. Standard chartered journey must use 60k. even more higher than uob.
3. before your next annual renewal & really dont use the card much, just cancelled it. Clear cut. Most bank start to disallow waive sst / annual fees.
So far my experience
a) HLB - can waive sst as they saw got frequent usage
b) PBB - cannot waive sst and lucky got point to offset the sst. Dont care much on point as my priority is their cashback
Dont forget PME, VI is consider higher class level card with multiple countries lounge access, 12x point and grab taxi (free 2x per month), therefore 50k spend is consider normal policy

I don’t have issue with SCB Journey card all these years though I didn’t spend even 10% of the required amount. So far only MBB and CIMB are strictly following. Let’s see UOB.

I will call to cancel in December - reason don't want to pay annual fee in 2026. Let's see what they will say then.
