The problem actually was with rn5p price.....if its follow its predecessor price rm750-800 its gonna be alot easyer to make decisions....our currency is strong than before now....yet the price is over 1000 for a midrange phone...

Why not Nokia 7 Plus..

OK folks. Latest rumor came out today. It was leaked by one of local xiaomi distributors.

Redmi note 5 will be released in this month. Two variants will be released, which is 4gb ram + 64gb and 6gb ram + 64gb

Both of them will be sold at RM9xx and RM 1299 respectively.

If 1299..better get nokia 7plus

A1 2018 probably when la, looking at 6x leak, is very tempting..

No worry about SRP. Online seller can sell way cheaper than that. Redmi 5 Plus 64gb is Rm899 but some managed to sell @ Rm729

Of course after july.. Hahah.. If you dare to wait lah.. Haha

Nokia 7+ is a bit overpriced. No doubt it has good build quality but it is out of my budget of around RM800-RM1000.

I agreed that Nokia 7+ is pricy and certainly above my budget of RM1000.
Aiyo, I hate to wait for A1 2018 because till then, so many other new phone to compare again. Never ending compare and never ending wait le!

My initial plan is to get a budget phone and use for 1.5 years, before settling on P20 Pro. I couldn't get myself to spend so much 3K eh! But I really want a high-end camera phone. I owned Lumia 1020 on the first day, now 950XL. In between, uses Redmi 3C or 3S something. Don't exactly remember. Photo quality is drastically different. I'm kinda afraid that I couldn't get used to RN5P, either.

Maybe I just don't care and jumped with P20 without Pro. Lol.

Very true, 1 of main reason we choose mid-range because of the price.
That nokia is just too premium for our budget.

At >1k let us shop for Mi / Mi Note / Mix lineup.

i think N7+ is entry of high end price with a mid range spec

but n7+ hv free gift worth RM300..
