so kalau salah ter-tekan OTA then kesian henfon jadi batu bata ha3

Lowyat just posted about redmi note 5, confuse which version is which (China/India). Some someone list the difference in technical way so can understand and which one of those would Mi Malaysia make it available.

Just 2 main differences.

Front camera - India: 20MP China: 13MP

Android version - India: Nougat China: Oreo


So when Redmi Note 5 released in Malaysia, just need to check those 2 parts, then we will automatically know whether it's China version or India version.

China's Redmi Note 5 uses 13MP front cam and India Redmi Note 5 Pro uses 20MP Front cam. From Lowyat's article it seems it would be China variant of Redmi Note 5.

Ah I see thanks for the answers guys, so China 13MP better or India 20MP in term of quality. Can't find any comparison on this 2.

So far, the comparison of these 2 is not yet available on youtube yet. But here's the general verdict.

In term of pic quality, India's front camera is definitely better than China's one. But in term of features and usability, China's front camera is better due to its AI implementation.

I'm in the same boat also. So far only got exp in 3 Redmi series phones. Currently use RN4 but sometimes got the urge to exp higher end Mi series, then again this RN5 really give good fight

i hv no mood after know it didnt support sdcard.
then no 3.5mm port...

5.5" is still good for me...
camera better than rn5, processor oso better...
audio got 24bit dsp 😱
but price >1k is no good
