When is Indonesia launch date?

Anyway, Malaysia have lower priority because of the limited potential for sales in Malaysia.

Indonesia have 261 million populations.
Malaysia have 31 million populations.

If you are CEO of Xiaomi, which country do you want to give priority to for sales?

If read you back xiaomi history before they invest in India/indonesia than you know is not about population. Telco Acts/Law regarding 4G & business strategy was JV. After JV with foxcon india xiaomi didn't expect their phone get higher demands even though xiaomi plan to capture india market was within 5 yrs.. 1st year edi boomm with RN3..

It is about marketing strategy. India is a huge market especially for low cost mobile phones. It is a smart decision for Xiaomi to market their phones there instead of trying to penetrate US or Europe which a lot of other China mobile companies failed such as LeEco. Naturally of course things like JV or building factories are part of the expansion strategies. So even if Xiaomi capture like 50% of mobile phones in Malaysia, do you think they will build a factory here? Definitely not! It's not financially viable.

50% market share in Malaysia vs 10% Indonesia market share, which is more? Where will you invest if you are Xiaomi?

According to Lee Jun, Xiaomi did offer to Malaysia/Vietnam player before (2016) but no one dared to take the risk but EIN Indonesia willing to take the risks & Xiaomi given ASEAN market to them.. At the same factory, EIN also assemble Nokia Phone..

Hi end? No, they still have clearly both ends.

Mi=high end

Redmi=low end.
